Lawrence Auster, my favorite Jewboy

Yes, I continue to read Lawrence Auster’s idiosyncratically ultra- conservative blog. It is immensely entertaining.

I even donated some cash during one of Larry’s recent panhandling campaigns. But the prideful fucker rejected my money!

One of the nuttiest aspects of Larry Auster’s career as a self-styled public intellectual is... he spends most of his time and energy attacking fellow conservatives.

Yesterday he crossed a line into ethnic name-calling, referring to David Frum, former speechwriter for President George W. Bush, as a “Jewboy.”

This so offended some of Auster’s readers, he eventually removed the reference from his blog. But not before posting an earnest defense of himself this morning... arguing that he was right to call Mr. Frum a “Jewboy.” (“If I am being brutal toward him... he deserves it.”)

I copied all that stuff. Just in case.

Before I share it with you (and with future Google searchers), let me point out that Lawrence Auster himself is an ethnic Jew (and a staunch defender of Israel), though he converted to Christianity and is now a devout Anglican.

Mr. Auster also has denounced conservative writers more famous than himself – specifically Pat Buchanan and Paul Craig Roberts – for being “very close” to anti-Semitic. (Even though they’ve never called anyone a “Jewboy” in print.)

So here’s the deal. Auster yesterday put up a post slamming David Frum for, among other things, attacking Rush Limbaugh in a Newsweek essay last spring.

At the end of the post, Auster called Frum a “little Jewboy on the make”... which is a quote from Mordecai Richler’s novel “The Apprenticeship of Duddy Kravitz.” Auster’s point was that David Frum “will do anything to advance himself.”

A reader asked Auster to remove the “Jewboy on the make” line... because it is “reprehensible, cringe-making, and not fair.”

Auster responded that it was not “some terrible expression.” “First, a ‘Jewboy’ is simply a Jew. Yes, the term is used by some people in a derogatory manner, but when I was growing up it was mainly a humorous term of affection used by one Jew about another.... It is not the Jewish equivalent of the ‘N’ word.”

Furthermore, Auster wrote, “think of the way [Frum] portrayed Rush Limbaugh.... It was an act of total treason and aggression against the conservative movement. Why then does he deserve any particular consideration in the way that he’s discussed?”

In finally erasing the word “Jewboy” from his post, Auster wrote: “I personally felt that the description, in the context in which I had presented it, was defensible, and I defended it. However, I also believe that to create offense unnecessarily is wrong.”

Cool. Now if only this douchebag could stop calling black people “savages.”

The Holocaust Museum gunman...

... who traded shots today with security guards in Washington, D.C., is said to be James W. von Brunn, an 88-year-old white supremacist from Easton, Maryland.

Like many nuts, von Brunn had already left a footprint on the Internet. I particularly like this portion of his online bio, from his Holy Western Empire website:

“He is a member of Mensa, the high-IQ society. In 1981 Von Brunn attempted to place the treasonous Federal Reserve Board of Governors under legal, non-violent, citizens arrest. He was tried in a Washington, D.C. Superior Court; convicted by a Negro jury, Jew/Negro attorneys, and sentenced to prison for eleven years by a Jew judge.

Lawrence Auster and killer immigrants

Ever since that Korean student kirked out and committed mass murder at Virginia Tech, right-wing blogger Lawrence Auster seems obsessed with immigrants who kill.

Pardon me... with non-white immigrants who kill. Be they in the United States, Canada or England.

The recent shooting rampage by a Vietnamese immigrant in upstate New York has inspired Mr. Auster to dark cleverness. Today he rewrote the famous poem at the base of the Statue of Liberty:

“Give me your head- cases, your screwy,
Your huddled mass murderers yearning to shoot free,
The angry misfits of your teeming shore.
Send these, the unassimilable, to me...”

Never mind the fallacy of Auster’s argument that a few mentally ill Asians reflect upon the “assimilability” of non-whites into white societies.

Forget the fact that whenever Auster chooses to write about a white murderer (which he does rarely), race is somehow never relevant.

There is a bigger irony here. Lawrence Auster has direct knowledge of a “killer immigrant” within his own family.

Auster’s grandmother – Anna Auster, an immigrant Polish Jew – shot and killed her husband (Lawrence’s grandfather) in Kenosha, Wisconsin, in 1919.

Indeed, one of Anna’s sons – 9-year-old Irving – was an eyewitness and had to testify at the murder trial. (Anna Auster was found not guilty by reason of temporary insanity.)

Young Irving would grow up to sire a son of his own: Lawrence Auster.

How do I know about this killing? Because Lawrence Auster’s cousin – the novelist and essayist Paul Auster – wrote all about it in a 1982 memoir called “The Invention of Solitude.”

I bring it up now for this reason: By Larry Auster’s logic, the fact that his immigrant grandmother became a killer justifies the anti- immigrationists of the early 20th Century who wanted to stop the flow of Eastern European Jews into America.

They said Jews couldn’t be assimilated. They said Jews were prone to mental illness.

I would love to see Mr. Auster address this irony.

A timely repost

[NOTE: This blog has had a boost in readership today... mainly because of people Googling phrases like “black people monkeys” and “comparison to monkeys blacks.”

[The Googlers were inspired, no doubt, by the controversial New York Post cartoon above, which seems to compare President Obama to a crazed chimpanzee.

[So... why would Googling “black people monkeys” lead folks to here? The reason is below: an edited version of a piece I posted in October 2007... about the history of comparing black people to monkeys.]

I recently discovered an old text online – “The Negro: What Is His Ethnological Status?” It was published in 1867 under the pseudonym “Ariel.” In fact, the author was a Southern clergyman, the Rev. Buckner H. Payne of Nashville, Tennessee.

Rev. Payne argued that Negroes weren’t descended from Adam and Eve.

“... Adam and Eve being white, ... they could never be the father or mother of the kinky-headed, low forehead, flat nose, thick lip and black-skinned negro...”

The minister continued: “[I]t follows, beyond all the reasonings of men on earth to controvert, that [the negro] was created before Adam, that, like all beasts and cattle, they have no souls.”

Rev. Payne then broke it down scientifically: “[W]e take up the monkey, and trace him ... through his upward and advancing orders – baboon, ourang-outang and gorilla, up to the negro, another noble animal, the noblest of the beast creation.

“The difference between these higher orders of the monkey and the negro is very slight, and consists mainly in this one thing: the negro can utter sounds that can be imitated; hence he could talk with Adam and Eve, for they could imitate his sounds.”

To me, it’s no coincidence that this description of blacks as non-human was published in 1867 – after the South lost the Civil War. Southern whites didn’t have to bother defining Negroes as animals while they were enslaved. But once the Negro was free – and politically empowered during Reconstruction – that’s when the defeated white Southerner felt the need (psychologically, not just politically) to put forth this ugly idea.

And guess what? When white Southerners reclaimed their political dominance and disenfranchised black people, the monkey thing stuck.

In 1900, Charles Carroll published a book advancing Buckner Payne’s notion. “The Negro a Beast” cites the Apostle Paul’s declaration that “there is one kind of flesh of men, another flesh of beasts.”

Carroll wrote: “[I]t becomes plain that the dog, the swine and the negro all belong to one kind of flesh – the flesh of beasts.”

He argued further that the “red, yellow and brown” races resulted from the “amalgamation” of whites and blacks. Therefore, all those non-whites aren’t human either. To argue otherwise, according to Carroll, was a blasphemy equal to Darwin’s theory of evolution:

“This modern church theory that the negro and the mixed-bloods are included in the Plan of Salvation is another result of putting man and the ape in the same family.”

(Charles Carroll wasn’t a clergyman, but there are many references to him as “Professor.” I haven’t been able to find out where he was a professor, or what his field of scholarship was.)

Carroll’s book was sold door-to-door across the South and was “enormously influential,” according to Jane Dailey, a Johns Hopkins University historian. In a 2004 essay, Prof. Dailey quotes an earlier historian:

“During the opening years of the twentieth century [‘The Negro a Beast’] has become the Scripture of tens of thousands of poor whites, and its doctrine is maintained with an appalling stubbornness and persistence.”

To give you a sense of the impact of “The Negro a Beast,” I dug up a reference to it by Bill Arp, a newspaper columnist who was hugely popular in the South. The following appeared in Arp’s column in the Atlanta Constitution on May 18, 1902:

“I have just received a pleasant letter from a North Carolina friend asking me what I think of Carroll’s book, ‘The Negro a Beast,’ and he asks, ‘Do you believe the nigger is a beast?’ I answered at the bottom of his letter, ‘Which nigger?’ ”

The most racist songs ever recorded

If you don’t have a strong stomach for unfettered expressions of Southern racism – with N-words aplenty – you won’t want to listen to the music I’m streaming with this post.

On the other hand, the fact that Obama was elected president might make it easier to handle.

Let’s start in 1990, when I interviewed the essayist Stanley Crouch by phone. The subject was 2 Live Crew, whose foul-mouthed rap songs were cause for much consternation amongst the bourgeoisie (and law enforcement entities).

Stanley Crouch doesn’t like hip-hop. And he hated 2 Live Crew; “they’re just some vulgar, street-corner-type clowns” who shouldn’t be defended by intelligent black folk.

Yet Crouch acknowledged that, in his youth, he found the vulgar, street-corner rhymes of Rudy Ray Moore to be “kind of comical.”

I asked Mr. Crouch whether a record’s “comical” impact, in itself, imbued it with artistic value and social merit.

“No no no no no no no no,” Crouch responded. “If funny is the justification, then any kind of humor has cultural validity.

“I mean, I remember hearing a record a long time ago, put out by, I think, the White Citizens’ Council, which was called ‘For Segregationists Only.’ ... And the target of the humor was the civil-rights activists and shiftless, no-account, welfare [blacks].”

I’d never heard of “For Segregationists Only,” but I was curious. In the Internet Age, of course, every old cultural artifact is new again. You can purchase “For Segregationists Only” from white racist websites.

Or you can go the illegal-download route, which I did.

“For Segregationists Only” was not put out by the White Citizens’ Council but by a bona fide Louisiana record producer named J.D. “Jay” Miller.

Miller, who died in 1996, was a renowned purveyor of Cajun music, swamp pop and blues. He even produced records by black artists such as Slim Harpo, Lightnin’ Slim and Katie Webster. (I wonder what these black musicians thought about Miller’s catalog of white-supremacist tunes such as “Kajun Klu Klux Klan.”)

Today, the J.D Miller Recording Studio Museum is considered a cultural landmark in the city of Crowley, La.

Miller’s most prolific racist artist was known as Johnny Rebel. Click these song titles to hear some of Johnny Rebel’s 1960s output:

Who was Johnny Rebel? He was a Cajun musician named C.J. Trahan, a.k.a. Pee Wee Trahan. He is still alive. And he is unrepentant.

“I used to think I was prejudiced. I am not prejudiced,” Trahan told an interviewer a few years ago. “If you are prejudiced, you don’t like all races. Well, I don’t have anything against all races. ...

“They asked me to [make those records], hell, I did it. I would do anything to make a buck. Hell, I made a few bucks off of it.”

Trahan has no particular love for black folks, however. “Blacks develop an attitude towards the whites, and they won’t let it go,” he said. “They won’t let go of what happened.

“Why should we pay reparations for things that happened 200 years ago? I didn’t have a slave. I was run out of my country... my ancestors were run out of Nova Scotia.”

Since becoming an underground celebrity on the Internet, “Johnny Rebel” has put out an album of new material. Click here to hear “Quit Your Bitchin’ Nigger!” from Trahan’s 2003 album “It’s the Attitude, Stupid!”

Other tunes on this album are “Niggers Suck!” and “Send ’Em All Back to Africa.”

Celebrating Pearl Harbor?

On December 7, 1941, the Empire of Japan attacked the U.S. naval base at Pearl Harbor, thrusting America into World War II. President Roosevelt called it “a date which will live in infamy.”

But some black folks celebrated the attack. Namely, Elijah Muhammad and his followers in the Nation of Islam.

In his 1999 book, “The Messenger: The Rise and Fall of Elijah Muhammad,” Karl Evanzz wrote:

“The War of Armageddon that Elijah Muhammad had believed in since Bible school, the race war that he had feared as a young man in Macon... moved nightmarishly close to reality....”

As early as the mid-1930s, Elijah Muhammad taught his disciples that “The Japanese will slaughter the white man” and “It is Japan’s duty to save you.”

A rumored financial backer of the Nation of Islam was Satokata Takahashi, a foreign agent who formed alliances with black nationalists on behalf of Imperial Japan.

While America trembled in fear of another Japanese attack, the NOI celebrated the bombing of Pearl Harbor as the beginning of the hellfire. Many Muslims wondered how soon the ships would come to take them to their promised new homes in Hawaii, and when they would get their first glimpse of the Mother Plane.

Others wrote letters urging their families to join the NOI before it was too late. On December 9, two days after the attack, Milwaukee minister Sultan Muhammad wrote an effusive letter to the Messenger:

“The end of the enemy truly has come.... All Praise is due to Allah; [Armageddon] truly has come, my Loving and most Faithful Apostle. Oh, how happy am I to see what I am seeing! ...”

In a follow-up letter on December 16, Sultan, who was the Messenger’s cousin, beamed proudly as Black Milwaukeeans were suddenly beating down the door to join the NOI. His weekly report of February 3 was equally euphoric:

“Old Satan is really silent in his Hell. They are just as quiet and never have anything to say concerning his war in our presence.... All Praise is due Allah alone, the Great God of the Universe. What is the matter with the Devils? Why are they carrying such long faces? Ha! Ha! ... Blessed be the name of Allah, Who promised through His prophets that He would overtake the Devil and his host!”

... At Temple No. 4 in Washington, D.C., Muhammad and his followers reveled in newspaper accounts of Japan’s exploits, though not for long.

As the war entered its sixth month, the FBI’s intelligence reports forced [J. Edgar] Hoover to take a closer look at the NOI, as they indicated that the Muslims and other black nationalist organizations were receiving carbine rifles and sophisticated military weaponry from Japanese espionage agents. These weapons, several field offices reported, were stockpiled in black ghettos in nearly every major American city.

“As I type, I’m glancing at some grotesque thing on ABC, about the Grinch and Christmas, in which humans interact in brotherhood with a variety of monstrous looking other species, and a little girl has a tender relationship with an unsettlingly hideous but sensitive and kind-hearted being called the Grinch, and everyone loves each other.

“This is not our society celebrating the beautiful holiday of Christmas, this is the Liberal Controllers of our society carefully teaching children an unnatural and dangerous lie that they would never believe unless they were carefully taught.

“How many whites will militate against vitally necessary immigration restrictions in the decades to come, how many young females will be raped and murdered by nonwhites in the decades to come, because of the message of trusting and loving racial aliens that programs like this implant in them?”

‘Sambo’s good time is come...’

In honor of President-Elect Barack Obama, I’d like to share a page from America’s racial and political past.

In 1864, after Abraham Lincoln was re-elected in a landslide, someone using the name “L. Seaman” wrote an eight-page tract titled “What Miscegenation Is! and What We Are to Expect Now that Mr. Lincoln is Re-elected.”

It was a snarky vision of a world turned upside down. And it dripped with contempt for colored folks (referred to by slave names such as “Sambo,” “Cuffy” and “Pompey”).

The late emancipation proclamations, the re-election of Mr. Lincoln, together with the recent decision of the people of Maryland to discard Slavery, has given our colored Brudders a good opinion of themselves, and they have become the aristocracy, proper, of the country. ...

There is a sound of revelry every night, and Africa’s sons and daughters (her beauty and her chivalry) trip the fantastic toe; gorgeous lamps shine o’er fair women and brave men; a thousand hearts beat happily; and when music rises with its voluptuous swell, shiny eyes look love to eyes which speak again, and all goes merry as a marriage bell.

Crazy White Bitch of the Year

The Drudge Report went all out yesterday afternoon, announcing with a bold red headline that a McCain campaign volunteer – a young white woman – had been attacked and “mutilated” in Pittsburgh... by a large, dark-skinned black man who didn’t like the McCain stickers on her car.

The young woman’s name is Ashley Todd. And she told police that the giant Negro carved a letter “B” on her cheek with a knife.

“You are going to be a Barack supporter,” the giant Negro said.

Turns out Ashley Todd made the whole thing up. Including cutting her own face.

I hereby salute right-wing blogger Michelle Malkin, who was suspicious of the girl’s story right away.

Even before Ashley had confessed, Ms. Malkin wrote: “Hate crimes hoaxes – by anyone, of any political persuasion, and of any color – diminish us all.”

Even Lawrence Auster, my favorite far-right blogger – a man who often writes luridly about black criminal “savagery” – even he voiced a bit of skepticism about Ashley’s tale last night.

(Although Mr. Auster also wrote this: “The attack on a white woman because she had a McCain bumper sticker also supports the prediction of some [of my readers] that the election, whether Obama wins or loses, will lead to an outpouring of black anti-white violence.”

(Well, Larry... keep a happy thought.)

I’m about to board a flight back to Los Angeles. But I really look forward to the cable-news chatter about this incident tonight.

Neo-Nazi shenanigans

Do you know who Bill White is? There’s no reason why you should.

The only reason I do is because I read about organized racists with the same morbid fascination that other people read about exotic spiders or skin diseases.

Bill White, who lives in Roanoke, Va., is “Commander” of the American National Socialist Workers Party. He’s also the webmaster of Overthrow.com and the publisher of National Socialist magazine.

Last year, White published the home address and phone number of Leonard Pitts, a Pulitzer Prize-winning black columnist (whom White called “Nigger Pitts”). White didn’t like what Pitts had written about a black-on-white murder case.

White later wrote: “Frankly, if some loony took the info and killed [Pitts], I wouldn’t shed a tear.”

So that’s the kind of head case we’re talking about.

Bill White is now trying to raise a few thousand dollars to publish the next issue of National Socialist. It’ll have Barack Obama on the cover. And the words “Kill This NIGGER?”

Muslim, not a Muslim

Lawrence Auster, my favorite fringe-right blogger, has focused the past few days on a grisly murder in Canada. In a nutshell: a sleeping passenger on a Greyhound bus was stabbed, disemboweled and beheaded by another passenger.

The word “beheaded” is what leaped out at Auster. His first post – soon after midnight on Friday morning – was headlined: “A new phase of jihad? Man stabbed to death and decapitated on bus in Canada.”

Auster took a swipe at the “uber PC” Canadian police, who hadn’t released the suspect’s name. Because, you know, there just had to be an “Ahmed” or “Khalid” in it. Or at least we can assume that’s what Auster believed, based on the word “jihad” in his headline.

Later Friday morning, Auster bemoaned the fact that no new information had been released.

“I can think of only one explanation for this news blackout,” he wrote. “It is that the killer is indeed a Muslim, and that the news is so shocking, its implications so frightening--Canadians might be slaughtered and beheaded, anywhere, any time--that the ultra-PC Canadian authorities... can't handle it.

“Because, if the killer is a Muslim, as seems very likely,” Auster continued, “it would mean that Canada (and every Western country with a Musulman population) has now become like Israel, where death-by-Islam can occur to anyone, any time, any place.”

An hour or so later, officials released the suspect’s name: Vince Weiguang Li. “And he’s not a Muslim, at least by his name,” Auster blogged, “he’s Chinese (though of course there are Chinese Muslims).”

Shortly after noon on Friday, Auster felt the need to post again... about whether or not he had embarrassed himself with that “jihad” business:

“[I]f there is anyone thinking, based on the fact that the beheading suspect is apparently not a Muslim, that I was premature in guessing that he is one, think about what that says about your attitudes and assumptions....

“There is one group in the world for whom beheadings are central to their religion and culture. In every country where Islamic law is in effect, Muslims behead criminals.”

Point taken, Mr. Auster.

By Friday evening, he posted yet again... with this headline: “The likelihood of a Muslim inspiration should not be dismissed.” After all, as one of Auster’s readers pointed out, “Tapes of beheadings (yes, done by Muslims) have been available on the Web for years.”

Early Saturday morning, Auster had new information: “Report: beheader is ‘Chinese Muslim motivated by Koran.’ ”

Evidently, the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation had put this on its website: “A Chinese Muslim, Li expressed to investigators that his actions were motivated by the Koran.” But that line was soon removed from the CBC report.

Was this a case of politically incorrect information being “sanitized” by the CBC? Or was the information removed because it was wrong in the first place? Lawrence Auster isn’t sure.

“If this is true, then my controversial guess... that the killer was Muslim (followed by my theory that the Canadian authorities were covering up his Muslim status in order to prevent a mass anti-Muslim reaction) was accurate. But we don't know that it's true.”

On Saturday night, Auster shared another right-wing blogger’s notion that Vince Weiguang Li might’ve acted out of “voluntary jihad syndrome” – that is, he was a Muslim who suddenly “went postal” on an infidel.

Then, early Sunday morning, came this from the ever-vigilant Auster: “It’s virtually definite: he’s a Muslim.” This based on information in a Chinese-language newspaper, sent to Auster by one of his readers.

Alas, by Sunday afternoon the mainstream media was reporting that Li and his wife had occasionally attended a Baptist church in Winnipeg, prompting Auster to blog: “If he went to a Baptist church, even just a few times, he could not have been any kind of devout Muslim.”

Later came a report that Li had cannibalized his victim. And if that’s true, Auster wrote, “he couldn’t be a Muslim.”

By now, I picture Larry Auster shaking his fists at the sky, wailing because he is “forced to form an inadequate picture out of bits and pieces.”

I sure hope the truth comes out soon... for Auster’s sake. Sounds like he’s been losing sleep.

Nick Kasoff responds

Nick Kasoff commented this morning on my July 29 post “Another race hoax exposed?” He denies any involvement with the Yacub 7 Ali/Ghetto Bragging Rights websites.

Mr. Kasoff has asked me to publish his response as prominently as my original post. And I am happy to do so. Here it is:

NICK KASOFF: Hi ... I’m Nick Kasoff, the webmaster of The Thug Report. Thanks for the nice write up. And kudos for your excellent research on my other activities. However, there are a few things that need correction here:

1. I am not, and have never been, affiliated with any of the websites you name here, nor do I contribute to them in any way.

2. It’s not hard to see that I have nothing to do with these sites - I do not, and have never, done anything anonymously on the internet. My domains are registered in my own name, and my blog posts are also done with my real name. Heck, I’m even listed in the phone book. Why would I do a bunch of anonymous blogs, then expose myself to heat by putting my name on The Thug Report? Anonymous domain registration is only twenty bucks a year, people ...

3. While we appreciate anyone who links to our site, that does not imply that we endorse their views. We receive traffic from all sorts of sites, from white supremacist to hip hop.

While you have obviously concluded the contrary, I actually like black people. I live in a racially diverse area, not because I can’t afford one of those all white enclaves in the ‘burbs, but because I prefer the urban environment. I find that the vast majority of black people are friendly, hard working, and just generally decent folks.

If you read the “About the Thug Report” page on the site, you’ll see my motive for doing this is NOT to defame black people, but to help, in my small way, to drive us toward a solution to urban crime. While I don’t have the solution, I feel that identifying the problem is the first step to finding it.

Our cities and inner ring suburbs are America’s future. They are the only place you can live without spending huge amounts of time and money driving. They are racially and economically diverse, have a housing stock of quality that today’s builder’s can’t match, and a sense of community that the gated neighborhoods of suburbia can never create. I am outraged that a tiny group of lawless people have succeeded in making large swaths of urban America uninhabitable. The Thug Report is my contribution toward reversing that trend.

I understand that many of you may disagree with the tactic. But at least now, you understand the motive is as far from racial animus as one can get.

Another race hoax exposed?

Meet Nick Kasoff of Ferguson, Mo. (a suburb of St. Louis). He is a former radio talk show host and a home-computer consultant. He owns rental properties.

Mr. Kasoff is also politically active. He was a delegate to the Missouri Republican convention in May.

Kasoff supported Ron Paul, but now he’s backing John McCain. “At this point, I will do whatever I can to prevent socialist Barak Obama from being elected as President,” he wrote in a recent online comment.

Nick Kasoff spends a lot of time on the Internet. In January 2007, he launched a website called the Thug Report – a Drudge-style links list devoted to “urban crime news.”

Almost all of the criminals Mr. Kasoff showcases are black. And he uses ghetto dialect in some of his headlines. Such as:

“Cali bangaz recruit kids”

“Chicago killaz get teen girl”

“St. Louis shoota hits 1”

“Texas rappa gets 30 in slaying”

Occasionally, Kasoff will mock the names of black suspects by posting a snarky caption along with their mug shots. Example: “My name Santwoine. My name Raevon.”

I have no problem with any of that. There is a shitload of black violent crime in America. If Nick Kasoff wants to focus on that, he has a right to.

And if somebody else wants to launch a website devoted to white criminals or Hispanic criminals, that is their right.

At least Kasoff isn’t hiding his identity. He has posted comments on message boards as “Nick Kasoff – The Thug Report.”

Alas, I am convinced that Nick Kasoff is perpetrating much darker mischief.

In May 2007, I first blogged about an anonymous troublemaker masquerading as various members of a supposed black racist cult led by “Prophet Yacub 7 Ali.”

These so-called “Negro Sun Worshippers” – under numerous pseudonyms on numerous blogs – claimed the ability to inflict skin cancers on white people with just a look.

An affiliated hoax was the “Sexiest & Hardest Ghetto Black Male Felon Bragging Rights Competition,” whereby the hoaxer pretends to celebrate high-profile murders of white people by black criminals.

The hoaxer spread vicious lies about white female victims such as Channon Christian... suggesting that Ms. Christian wanted to be tortured and killed by blacks as a kinky sex thing.

At least one gullible online “journalist” – Nicholas Stix – wrote about the “Ghetto Bragging Rights” phenomenon as if it represented actual “black supremacists.”

Whereas I speculated that it was the creation of one race-baiting troll. And now I have a prime suspect: Nick Kasoff.

Here is my circumstantial evidence that Nick Kasoff is behind all of it:

1. The Ghetto Bragging Rights and Underprivileged Journalism blogs feature links to the Thug Report site.

2. Black mug shots featured on Kasoff’s Thug Report also turn up on the anonymous hoax sites... like this one of rapper DMX:


3. The first wave of Yacub 7 Ali/Ghetto Bragging Rights sites appeared in February 2007... one month after Kasoff registered the Thug Report domain name.

4. Kasoff’s desire to “do whatever I can to prevent socialist Barak Obama from being elected” would explain the latest wrinkle in the Yacub 7 Ali mythology... something called the “God Damn America Movement.”

(That refers, of course, to Rev. Jeremiah Wright.)

Kasoff’s Thug Report links to a “G*d d@mn America blog” (underprivilegedjournalism. wordpress.com).

5. Who would be motivated to carry on such an elaborate deception as this Yacub 7 Ali/Ghetto Bragging Rights business – for no apparent purpose – over 18 months?

Someone obsessed with black crime.

Check out the Thug Report for yourself and see if that shoe doesn’t fit Mr. Kasoff.

I think I found a good phrase for this type of shenanigans last month, when I busted another white guy pretending to be a black radical online: Racist political witchcraft.

Evidently Nick Kasoff has never heard of “karma.” You can’t put out bad vibes on the intertubes without it bouncing back on you eventually.

Imagine an America without black people.

It’s easy if you try.

Far-right blogger Lawrence Auster is hosting another of his fascinating conversations on race (just in time for the Fourth of July).

This is why I love reading Auster. His combination of Ivy-League erudition, stunning frankness and intense racialism – plus his fervent opposition to the “bigotry” of anti-Semitism – provides an ongoing study in the meaning of whiteness.

The latest conversation began Tuesday night with an email from “Ben W.” focusing on “the antagonistic behavior and negative culture of the black race in America.”

“Perhaps it is time to reconceptualize the American model psychologically, culturally, and theologically by factoring out the black race,” Ben W. wrote. “Just as it is impossible to integrate Muslims into Western society, it has been impossible to integrate the black race as well.

“The psychological, social, legal and economic costs of ‘containing’ the black race have been staggering,” he continued, “and not worth the effort.”

Ben W. proposes no concrete action now... except to dare to imagine “factoring the black race out of America.”

Mr. Auster responded: “Nothing this radical on the black issue has ever been posted at [this blog]. Many will say that Ben’s ideas are racist, evil, and totally out of the question, both morally and practically. But can anyone gainsay his premises?”

Auster went on: “[I]s it not the case that black America, as an organized community, is endemically hostile to America and whites, and... will always be so?”

In Lawrence Auster’s perfect world, black people “could live in America and have their rights as individuals protected”... but “black organizations and public cultural expressions would only be recognized and allowed to the extent that they showed loyalty to America.”

Below are excerpts from the consequent comments:

ADELA G.: ... My wanting an America with far fewer blacks in it has nothing to do with my personal history with black individuals, which has been overall only slightly more negative than my history with whites. (And in fairness, I must add that I know several black people of whom I am very fond and I believe that fondness is mutual.)

It’s blacks as a group that I find too chaotic to live with or interact with. It is this group that I don’t want in American in any significant number. ...

LAWRENCE AUSTER: Blacks are not immigrants, and I can’t conceive of any means by which we make them leave, or where we would send them.

... [I]t’s not a question of making blacks leave. It’s a question of creating and maintaining a cultural climate that makes it clear any sense of racial grievance is unwelcome. ...

CLEM: ... I don’t have the answer but I do realize that we must pursue something in this direction. Unless we miscegenate (unfortunately many people see this as the panacea) to the point of all being Borg, what we are currently doing will not and is not working.

The only thing our current path in this country will do is lead to the destruction of the U.S. and of us. ...

AUSTER: A funny thought just occurred to me. We’re all aware of how, despite white America’s good will toward blacks, and staggering efforts to help advance them... the core of the black community continues to see whites as evil oppressors who are conspiring to commit genocide against blacks. ...

That being the case, if white America really began to take away blacks’ privileges and reduce their power and influence, as proposed above, what could the blacks say about whites, that they’re not already saying? The blacks ALREADY believe that we’re trying to harm them in all kinds of horrible ways. ...

BEN W.: ... I don’t have a clear and distinct idea (as Descartes would [put] it) of what “factoring the black race out of America” means.

It might have psychological elements (i.e. no more Hollywood films with black protagonists). It might have economic components (such as no affirmative action or extended welfare programs). It might have legal consequences such as restricting race-based churches from issuing from the pulpit hateful statements against the U.S. ...

These are all practical and incremental steps towards factoring out the racial presence of an antagonistic group.

On a broader scale, it would mean the dismantling of ghetto neighborhoods and dispersal. Where that would lead, I do not know. ...

MARK J.: The present situation with regard to blacks (and Mestizos, Muslims, and other alien peoples in our nation) is unsustainable, but I respectfully argue that the time when whites could maintain the existing system of government while implementing the kinds of changes you’re proposing has passed.

All race-based preference programs need to disappear, and it has to become legal once again to discriminate in employment, housing, and accommodations based on race. But the prohibitions against that kind of discrimination are so deeply embedded now in our laws and established interpretations of the Constitution that it would almost certainly require a series of constitutional amendments to make it legal to discriminate again. ...

Even were such changes possible, we would need to take away the right of blacks and other minorities to vote, because as long as they could vote, we would eternally be at risk of losing control of our nation if they reproduce faster than we do. ...

I think the only alternatives are a civil war or the devolution of the U.S. into another Brazil and the end of the white race as a significant civilizational force.

My bet is on a civil war, when the majority of whites have finally had enough of the corruption, violence, and poverty that comes with sharing a nation with alien people....

Embarrassing the race

Did you hear about what happened in Denver yesterday?

The mayor was getting ready to present his “State of the City” address. But first... jazz singer Rene Marie was given the honor of singing the National Anthem.

Rene Marie decided to do something different.

To the tune of “The Star-Spangled Banner,” she sang “Lift Ev’ry Voice and Sing,” also known as the “Negro National Anthem.” (Her performance is embedded below.) This has caused a scandal.

She later explained: “What was going on in my head was, I wanted to express how I feel about living in the United States as a black woman, as a black person.”

Uhh... okay. Except that nobody gives a fuck about your feelings, Miss Thang! This was about honoring your country. You had a job to do, and you screwed it up. Plain and simple.

One irony is that this happened at the Wellington E. Webb Municipal Office Building... named after the black man who served as Denver’s mayor for 12 years.

Another irony is that Denver is where Barack Obama next month will accept his party’s nomination for President of the United States.

So what the hell was Rene Marie protesting?

(Note to my boy DeAngelo Starnes: Denver’s your city, bruh, so I’m asking you... Was this a “bonehead” move? Or did she do the right thing?)

Right-wing blog reaction, of course, has been hot ’n’ heavy. One of Lawrence Auster’s commenters wrote: “I’d like to play ‘Dixie’ on a continuous loop outside that uppity female’s house.”

Mr. Auster himself declared: “[B]lacks just can’t help asserting their blackness in public settings that are supposed to be non-racial, because that is what the entire black culture (e.g., Trinity United Church of Christ) is constantly telling them to do.

“And the more they do it, the more they lose any moral claim on white America’s respect, concern, solicitude, or guilt.”

One of Michelle Malkin’s readers put it just about right: “Selfish, self centered, ungrateful. You may call it art, I call it a slap in the face of good old Uncle Sam. Shame on you.”
