Lioness

Hillary Clinton, the Lioness of the Democratic Party, just blew the roof off the place. Cheers to her!

What did y’all think?

It was the perfect call home to all those Hillary holdouts.

Essentially, she let it be known that Dems don't have enough time for pettiness and ridiculous intraparty rivalries. Either you're down for the cause, or you're just a problem that needs to be defeated.

Not to mention, the "justsaynodeal" crowd fails to realize that Hillary will be heavily involved in any Democratic presidency. Whether it's her influence from the Senate, or pushing for universal healthcare, she'll be on the frontlines.

Big ups to Hillary. Sets the table nicely for Barack.

Those nuts don't care. And you know what? They just might get their wish and cockblock Obama from the White House.

I thought the speech was well-done and I hope her holdouts heard the message.

One thing I noticed, though, was that Michelle Obama has quite the bitchface. I couldn't tell if she was just nervous during Hillary's speech or pissed. She needs to work on that, seriously.

^ She did smile when Hillary mentioned her, though.

;^)

I still think she could do more to quell the anger of her supporters. Her husband is another story all together

Heh, yeah, I noticed that. To be fair, Biden had a bitchface going a couple of times, too. They could learn a thing or two from Bill--that man knows how to play to the cameras and to the people!

You know what? I hope he can control his inner child. Because he could sabotage Obama and Hillary if he shows his hinepox tomorrow night.

Great speech. A defining moment of the convention. I love that she asked her voters if they were in the campaign for her or for the country?
Take that Hillary-or-bust supporters!

No way, no how, no McCain. Damn straight!

She shot that line like and arrow, straight and true.

Yeah, I have to give props to Hillary, it was a great speech and just what was needed. And dang if Bill isn't quite the Emmy-worthy actor. He even got teary-eyed at just the right moments. Sigh.

Heh heh, "hinepox". That word's so good I'm surprised it hasn't died of overexposure.

She said it loud and clear last night. Even Hilary did not care for the majority of those nut-jobs. Did anyone expect anything else except what she did last night. She was going to support Barack 110%, after the VP selection process and not until the convention. Much more effective now than a few months ago.

I just watched it. Great job! She sucked it up and did the job she had to do and did it well. I hope these PUMAs can come to their senses.

As much as I like Kathleen Sebelius, she needs to go to the Hillary Clinton School of Public Speaking. That woman was a snooze. Deval Patrick, on the other hand, was very good.

I'm in love with the BBC Parliament channel right now. They've been running the C-SPAM convention coverage 24 hours, non stop. So no matter what time I wake up, I can catch it. The BBC staff must be loving this vacation.

That was definitely the best speech of a her career. I really felt she did her part to unite the party. I only hope Bill comes with it tonight. My biggest concern is the black woman they interviewed after the speech ended and supporters like her. She said she would not vote for McCain but may just sit this election out for the first time in her life. That's scary.

Sorry folks, after her disgusting behaviour throughout the campaign, she remains a hypocrite to me - she can't get VP so perhaps she delivered a beautiful suck-up speech to pull the Scty Of State nomination.

Her hubby said what he should have said from when everyone knew they could not win the nomination...

Don't forget, even at this very DNC she said she won't discourage her supporters from listing her as a WRITE-IN candidate!

^ I feel you. But I'm willing to cut her a tremendous amount of slack. She put her all into trying to win, so I can relate to her personal crestfallenness.

She did come through for Obama when it counted, though.
