A free Koko Taylor download

I blogged about Chicago’s “Queen of the Blues,” Koko Taylor, last year.

I’m happy to do so again – with a FREE MP3 this time – in celebration of the Windy City and its musical heritage.

Click here to hear “Don’t Let Me Catch You With Your Drawers Down” on my Vox blog. This track is from Taylor’s 2000 album “Royal Blue.” To download the MP3, follow this link to Download.com.

^ Thanks, Dollar. But that missed me by about 10 years. I'll leave it to the young'uns.

Saw Koko Taylor at Max's on Broadway...a little past her prime...but worth every dime. I love hearing her sing "Walking the Back Streets and Crying"

"You ain't done enough of nothing
To keep me halfway pleased..... and that was too much for me..."
