This guy seems to have way too much time on his hands. And very little talent. But I admire his determination!

This video is interesting, yet scary. What's really disturbing is this guy looks like one of my old Black Studies professors!

"Funk nerds" Lol.

He...filmed himself singing along with the whole damn song.

Then posted it so the world could see.

At least UBM's favorite MILF does her whole dance along with it, so there's added value.

What is he thinking?

But once again, you got ME thinking...this time about the difference catagories of funk fans.

I cannot deny I am a funk nerd.

But P.Funk used to have a really broad fanbase.

Legend had it that when the Funkadelics can to town pimps and hoes would take the night off.

Then there were all those white fans who didn't dare see them live until the 90s or so.

What are the other catagories?

Let's see... jam-band-loving hippie types.

What my boy Kevin used to call "guitar fags" (no homo)... basement musicians who could probably tell you all about Mike Hampton's gear.

Black nationalist funkateers... who could break down the Maoist antecedents of "Bop Gun." (A subset of funk nerds.)

What kind of women were into the Mob? I've encountered very few nerded-out female P-Funk fans.

How about a gay contingent? I've always wondered whether Parliament had any kind of gay appeal... or were all them cats at the disco?

iTune's got this podcast called "The Princeton Review Vocabulary Minute." It's like School House Rock for vocabulary. Anyway, the "House Party" episode is cute because it's got a tiny little P-Funk vibe about it.

If I didn't know better, I'd say that's Al B. Sure.

I think of myself more as a Funkateer than a Funk Nerd, because I don't know or own all in the Funk world and know very few lyrics off by heart.
However I feel all that is Funky, not just knee deep and far beyond the P.

It was a sad day when Jerry Garcia died and Phish broke up,onle because it caused the tie dye tide to crash in and never roll out again.
