Ohhhhh, American Indian comedian. In Canada when we hear Indian comedian, we think of this guy:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W8PBF5h-9Qg&feature=related(great blog, by the way)
I honestly haven't checked the link, but know you must be talking about Russel Peters or that guy from "this hour has 22 minutes".The terms Native and Inuit, still haven't taken hold, even though Indian & Eskimo are about the same as saying Colored or Negro.Or like Val Kilmer's character in Thunderheart said "Prairie N***er".
Yeah, it's Russell Peters. Shaun Majumder is the guy from 22 Minutes - though his stand-up is a lot better than what's on TV.I think Inuit is taking hold a little better than Native, but probably not much. We still hear Aboriginal a lot in Canada and First Nation. I said to someone last week that the Canadian equivalent of the Americans electing Barack Obama would be Phil Fontaine as Prime Minister, and we're a long way from that.
