Brooklyn’s Santi White, a.k.a. Santogold, has another FREE MP3 floating around the intertubes. (I told you about this one and this one.)
She teamed up with DJ/producer Diplo for a dubby cover version of the Clash’s “Guns of Brixton”... except theirs is called “Guns of Brooklyn.”

I see this Converse All Stars poster of Santogold at the 14th St. station on my way to the L train. If not for this blog, she'd be just some random black chick to me.
Thanks for posting.
^ I like that Converse ad, Bklyn6. In fact, I like how Santogold photographs, period. She's got her own vibe going on.
UBM this is the second time you made her a New Yorker is she trying to rep BK like that? Santi is from Philly. Not only did we go to the same schools but do u remember when Mayor John Street was in all that hot water a few years back? Her father Ron White was involved and facing crazy charges but he passed away before he was convicted. Since his death the rumor that his death was faked has circulated but I dont buy it.
Santi does claim Brooklyn pretty hard.
But I take your point, Thembi.
