When I say sex, you say scandal...

Huffington Post political blogger Bill Robinson posted this last night:

“... I’ve just spent two weeks travelling and speaking with media elites in L.A., Chicago, NYC, and D.C. and among other things, I was repeatedly told that The New York Times and The L.A. Times are ‘sitting on a BIG Clinton story.’ What concerns me is that this story has nothing to do with Hillary, her policy positions, her record, or her presidential potential. The ‘big story’ everyone is sitting on apparently has to do with the many current affairs of Bill Clinton, whom, they will allege, has a gal in every port.

“I know, I know, you roll your eyes, you yawn, you wonder how anyone could possibly care about such things, true or not, when there is so much at stake in this upcoming election. But then you see what is going on with today’s Trent Lott/gay hustler rumors, this week’s Hillary/lesbian aide rumors, and you remember that the ghost of Karl Rove still haunts us. ...”

It's funny, but the people who get the most exercised over Bill's sex life are the ones that hate Hillary the most. But there's a more interesting scandal brewing: Guilliani billing the city for his adulterous trysts in the Hamptons with Judith Nathan. Personally I'm not terribly worked up over the adultery, but sticking the taxpayers with the bill is another matter.

More than one lefty blog is saying this is the end of Rudy. I'm not sure I agree, but if Hillary goes down (Bill's affairs, peaking too soon, etc.), this could be a very interesting election.

Obama-Huckabee? Could be.

Interesting indeed, Doug. You know what, I hadn't even thought about the political damage that could be done by Bill's continued tomcatting. But that is a political liability.

That is: If Bill fucks around, it's bound to come out. (Political enemies, tabloid press, whatever.) And if it comes out, it distracts from whatever Hillary is about politically and makes it all about adultery, broken vows, "Stand By Your Man," sleaze, etc.

The first female U.S. president... a cuckold? (What's a female cuckold called?)

See what I'm saying? It's not really illegitimate, if true. It speaks to how their marriage is different from other marriages... it's more of a political corporation.

I can imagine Bill saying to her: "You go for it, Hillary. Battle for the White House. But if you think I ain't supposed to get my dick sucked for the next five years..."

After all the Monica and co. mess, if he still has the audacity to cheat, Hilary needs to handle her business and reign him in with a sock full of combination locks right betwixt the legs..I mean, damn!

Hmmm.

1. Karl Rove??

2. Guiliani? *shrug* I couldn't care less. I'd rather he exited the stage, personally.

3. Huckabee? If he gets into the White House we'll ALL regret it. He's almost a precisely copy of Bush. Social conservative, fiscal crazy-ass SOB. I like a lot of evangelicals. But Huckabee is an evangelical with a mission from God and, he hopes, a federal checkbook.

Huckabee in the White House and Democrats in control of Congress?

Hello tax increases!

4. Bill & Hill in the White House again?

It's like deja vu all over again.

...

Frankly it's amazing how apt Yogi's comments are.

A "cuckquean." Also, I never knew cuckold was derived from some word or other for the cuckoo bird. Etymology am fun :-)

Oh, and I don't care who Bill screws around with and I think Hillary doesn't care, either. He should be reining himself in for the sake of her presidential bid, however.
