I’ve been Wikipedia’d!

Yesterday, I got my stripes. Yeah boyeee... somebody created a Wikipedia entry on me.

I haven’t been this excited since my name got mentioned in a rap song... and that was way back in 1990.

Damn. I knew you were cool. I didn't know you was that cool. Aside from your TV work, and your PFunk writing, you were at ground zero for two of the biggest racial controversies of the early '90s?

May I dub you Black Zelig?

Congratulations, David!

Thank you, Karsh.

And Eric... you funny, man. You funny.

So you ego-surf, eh? :-) Congrats!

David that is great. The entry doesn't happen to be an "extra writing gig" that you needed to do, huh?

Just asking.

P/S --I am hooked on your blog as of July 5th!

Lynda: Welcome to my spot!

As for Wikipedia, they don't let people write about themselves... for good reason. I can't even get in there and correct factual errors. (And there is at least one that I see.)

But I'm not gonna stress about errors or anything like that. Hell, the way Wikipedia goes, some enemies of mine might even get on there and print some devilish crap.

It ain't about what's there, as far as I'm concerned. But hopefully, it will lead more folks here.

Wow I am jealous and impressed at the same time lol. Congratulations ;)

I had a discussion with my son about having an IMDB reference (pretty dang sweet), but having a Wikipedia page is way better! Gratz!

I'd keep on eye on your entry - given your fairly high-profile feuds, you're probably ripe for vandalism.

Thanks. That made me go out and buy "Standing on the Verge of Getting it On" on iTunes.

"Bop Gun" is one of my favorite episodes of "Homicide" of all time, and along with "Night of the Dead Living," it's the one that I show people when I try to get them into the show. Shamefully, I had no idea you'd written that episode until now. As eric said, I knew you were cool -- I didn't know you were that cool.

Props, UMB. You're in the Library of Congress and Wikipedia. What's next?

David,

I was surprised to see that you didn't already have a WP article, so I thought it was my civic duty to create one. LOL.

It's still a work in progress, but I'm proud of what I started.

By the way, I was a subscriber to Uncut Funk back in the day, and I'm also on the Funky-Music mailing list, so I caught your P-Funk angle. I thought it would be cool to include it in the WP article.

PS - And no, I'm not a stalker. :-)

PPS - You're allowed to edit your own article so long as you don't violate the Conflict of Interest policy. Go to WP and search for WP:COI.

I looked you up months ago and found nothing, and so I am glad to see that now you finally exist. I thought I was hallucinating all of this UBM stuff.
