One of the cooler bands I’ve discovered lately is Garaj Mahal, a funky/fusiony jam band led by Fareed Haque.Mr. Haque, a virtuoso jazz guitarist, has a new album out under his own name. The title is “Flat Planet.” A 10-minute track is available as a FREE MP3.

This cat is way baad. First saw him with my homeboy, Javon Jackson. Then caught him and his band at DC's State of the Union. This dude is a real interesting guitarist who I really dig. Good musical post, Dave.
