Madiba! The fourth member of my family, LOL. This man loomed large in my house when I was growing up. All Nelson, nothing but Nelson...Wonder if Winnie gave him a gift!

Remember that song by Special AKA, "Free Nelson Mandela"?
And how Sandra and Elvin named their twins Winnie and Nelson on the Cosby Show?
I'm happy Mr. Mandela is living his life like it's golden.

It's actually a Zulu name, it's actually not a full name, could be short for Thembisile.

UBM,

Nelson Mandela was a doer, NOT a blogger.

One million black bloggers writing 10 blogs each per day will not change the black condition one iota. Hang up the thesauri and pick up the phone. Call one of the thousands of governmental or private organizations where an intelligent and angry black man could volunteer to actually DO something; NOT write about something.

I am an angry white man. Venting my anger by personally addressing (attacking you call it) idiotic and purely racist posts is what I choose to do. If one person reads my post before you delete it and sees himself (herself) in the mirror, it is worth it.

I "address" DS because he pontificates every week (or at least used to) on a radio program in Baltimore. His and your comments about Pabst Blue Ribbon and my other 'motives' are typical. And please do not ask me what typical means.

I am not a bigot. I am not a racist. I am merely prejudiced. A condition more the fault of the antics of black people than a character defect of mine.

HBG,

Nelson divorced Winnie in 1996. But, like you said, it would be nice if she gave him something.
