bklyn6... I know you used to jam to this.

In my case, this is one of the first cuts I illegally downloaded 10 years ago when I started messing around with Napster.

^You know I did. Went to Felix Hernandez's Rhythm Review at Roseland once. He played this joint and we all did the Electric Slide to it. Yay.

Excellent Choice UBM! I bought the Marvin Gaye Live album on vinyl simply for side 4,which is this! That tapping sound that sounds a little bit like a cowbell is actually Marvin tapping a glass that was half filled with water. He actually tested the sound using different amounts of water in the glass!

^ It's good to confess such things, IW.

;^)

As I mentioned on this blog a couple of years ago, I've seen this record destroy a dance floor. The party people went nuts.

I can't believe playing this song at Roseland was mentioned. To see a football field worth of people all electric sliding to this jam is a thing of beauty - and I hate the electric slide.

This song also reminds me of my neighbor that I used to carpool with to school. She had the most beautiful pitch black thighs.

It is. But it never occured to me that people hate the electric slide. :-(
