i was gonna post this later today; that's what i get for being a slacker :-/
i feel like if they are gonna do a black version of an already funny british comedy it better be good. wow lol they got the same actor to play the midget. i keep picturing that one film with loretta divine and ll cool j fighting temptations i think.
^ kj, that little dude Peter Dinklage is a real good actor. I've been wanting to work with him for years. The British original was funny, huh?I still don't feel eager to see it.
IW: Nobody beats Shadow and Act when it comes to posting trailers.
waaaaaaaaaaay off subjectare you watching these c'mon son's with ed lover. http://www.youtube.com/user/edlover4realyea man the british one was pretty funny. peter dinklage is good. at one point i started renting stuff just b/c he was in it. haha at no one beats shadow and act
I can tell you this...no one beats Shadow And Act when it comes to black folks complaining. I kid, I kid. I LOVE S&A. And I love complainin' ass black folks. MYSELF included!
^ You nut.
I hope that all the best jokes weren't shown in the trailer. Peter Dinklage was amazing in Prince Caspian. I didn't realize it was him until I saw the movie the second time on a DVD and watched the "making of" afterwards. I would have sworn up and down that it was a British actor.
the british version: HYSTERICAL.story funny from the first scene, just builds and builds.each character's story is entertwined, and there are just enough of them. the acting is wonderful...we could not stop laughing. i watched it alone and then with my kids.i have no interest in seeing a remake--they're usually not as good as a british original. re: dinklage: loved the station master.
ok, i watched the trailer...they've made it pretty crass and dumbed down the dialogue quite a lot. you don't need to explain a joke!
The original is in the style of a classic British farce. Think Fawlty Towers stretched over 90 mins. Will be interesting to see how this translates.
I find the very idea of this remake strange. I know this happens in television all the time, but to have an English language film (one that received a semi-wide U.S. release no less) get remade after only two years? Just weird. I can't think of any other examples of this. Hopefully it'll be funny.
This trailer is everywhere, but I have yet to see anyone post that they think the film looks funny.
Looks pretty funny but....I love Chris Rock. I think he is one of the top 5 stand up comics of all time. He can't act a bit, and I can't understand why people let him drive a movie.
i'm so there. i actual have the original on bootleg.
This trailer is everywhere, but I have yet to see anyone post that they think the film looks funny.Sheeeeit. They didn't even find a chick with a big booty to make Martin Lawrence's "ass is in graduate school" joke work. This movie looks like comedy death.
