You are not alone. :-( I was talking about this yesterday, can't remember what prompted the conversation.
Good to see Catfish on there too! James was trippin', 'cause Bootsy is sho nuff a rhinestone, rock-star, monster of a doll, baby-baba...even in that early clip!! And I'm sitting here typing this in front of my Dad's old poster for "Ultra Wave". Yabba Dabba Doozy!
yea tvone is pretty cool when they aren't showing re-runs all day. i wonder when this airs.
It was good, but nothing I hadn't heard from the book on Funkadelic that UBM was a part of. Still it was good to see.
All the episodes of Unsung are good to great. They could do a better job of selecting folks to interview, but overall they have earned a season pass on my tivo. The episode on Donny Hathaway was my favorite.
^ I saw the Minnie Riperton one at my nephew's house. Really good.
Loved the ones on Minnie and Shalimar. The one of Klymaax (sp?) was surprisingly interesting...
i really enjoyed shalamar, roger&zapp and the debarge one. i had no idea debarge had so many issues. the teena marie one was ok but most of the tension came from rick james and without him to interview i felt it was missing something. but i am glad i watched it -- hearing how she got her record deal was interesting. i like this show a lot.
iw: i also was surprised that enjoyed the klymaxx episode. they still don't get along.
