Hating on Michael

You know it wasn’t all love today for MJ. In Right-Wing Talk Radio Land, some professional provocateurs sank their teeth into the dead body of Michael Jackson on the occasion of his memorial service in Los Angeles.

Along the way, they brought up O.J. Simpson, Tawana Brawley, Sarah Palin and sundry other agenda items.

I’m streaming a few snippets on my Vox blog, for purposes of historical documentation.

Click here to hear a 5-minute excerpt from today’s “John Ziegler Show.”

Click here for a 6½-minute dose of Michael Savage (pictured above).

Click here for 3 minutes of “The Mark Levin Show.”

And in a business full of cunning hams, there is Bill Cunningham. Just look at this gaping asshole.

To hear Cunningham soiling a live performance by Stevie Wonder, click here.

Thankfully, Rush Limbaugh was on vacation.

Yeah, I caught a couple of this today. The hypocrisy is absolutely incredible. It is as if they have forgotten the foolishness the right has gotten into lately. And as someone aptly pointed out, MJ was never convicted of a thing while almost weekly these guys are calling a press conference to confess to something. And if they want to bring up crazy, Sarah Palin ain't acting too soon these days.

I would never listen to those guys. But is it wrong of me to think that all of the coverage of MJ is a bit over the top?

Wow, Dave, you're a real masochist, aren't you?

This was posted on someone's YouTube site - LOL:

"Side note: Any post disrespecting MJ whatsoever will be deleted and the user blocked. Do NOT come on to my videos spouting ANY shit talk against Michael."

Thanks for the links, but I can't/won't listen to that shyte.

I caught a little bit of O'Reilly last night and even that was TOO much. He had this body language expert comment on Brooke Shield's face to determine whether or not her grief was genuine.

It's funny, one of the 2 editorials of yours I remember from the Diamondback was about Michael Jackson...but my 2 cents is that there are some people, who just tend to be white and Right Wing and jerks, who are seriously deranged about the coverage of Michael Jackson's demise. The hate is palpable. And I feel sorry for them. Someone that filled with hate can't be content. I mourn for the little boy I loved and wish comfort to his family. I don't think that's wrong.

The right wing talk cult is rather predictable. They have to talk about 'TOPIC A', and if it isn't in their standard set of talking points they just spew out hate about Topic A. The death of MJ was the biggest story in the world, so they had to say SOMETHING...

It is the easy way out. At their core, these people are not very smart, and their listeners are flat out dumb.

I listen to talk radio and often think they have a valid take on the issues, but they've all missed the boat regarding MJ.

Of all the pundits on the right, the only one who seems to have a clue was Chuck Norris. He wrote a graceful sendoff to MJ published the day after Michael died.

^ Chuck Norris? Word? That's interesting. And he cain't even sing.

Chuck Norris sang the shit outta the theme song for Walker Texas Ranger.

^ I stand corrected.
