Gosh. I remember when he was a kid. He was "Larry" then, I think. I've never seen "King of New York" or "Cornbread Earl & Me" for that matter.
Did a flick with Schooly in it and Did a reading of a Shakesperean joint at CAA with Laurence. He's the man. Tripped me out seeing him kiss a dude at theTaper.

I interviewed both these cats for separate stories when I was at the Washington Post in the early '90s... Schoolly by phone, Laurence in person.
Laurence is, and always has been, the real deal.
