Random hipness

A black South African psych-rock band? Interesting. Very interesting.

Here’s a clip of BLK JKS performing at South by Southwest two weeks ago. (To see an on-camera interview with the lads, follow this link.)

Looked everywhere for their EP and I can't seem to find it. Nice group though, check out their blog

I heard about them for the first time a couple of weeks ago when they were live in studio on Soundcheck.

The host mentioned that the highlight of last year's SXSW was four Ivy League white guys playing African music. Guess BLK JKS flipped the script. :-)

At 5:29 guitar player, camera left, is doing something very sexy with his guitar. It sounds awesome at the same time.

These boys are going to make me reconsider my "No Musicians" rule. I want to see them in the pool sync' swimming.

Thanks UBM, what a girl needs in the morning!
