It’s for a worthy cause.

I was doing some driving today in New Orleans, listening to WWOZ... one of the best damn radio stations in the country.

They were interviewing a cat named Josh Charles, an indie musician who has recorded a new post-Katrina fundraising song.

Click here to hear “Healing Time” on my Vox blog. This MP3 is for sale at Amazon for 99 cents. Every penny of that goes to the Preservation Resource Center of New Orleans to help rebuild the city.

So if you like the tune, by all means, follow this link and buy the download.

I'm trying really hard not to be cynical BUT I ask UBM to check to make sure that the funds go where there are supposed to. A friend of mind created a book "One of Us" (search Facebook with that phrase) all proceeds were destined for NOLA. Kodak has not given a dime. The author is fighting the system for justice. I'm just sayin'.

I saw this guy's show at SXSW. It was at the Elephant Room and he had packed the place and they had a line outside to get into the show and were turning people away. He put on an amazing show. Some friends of ours know him and his crew and if you look at the people he works with , you'd know that it's completely legitimate and a great thing he's doing to help rebuild the city. First of all, his music kicks serious ass and the fact that he's helping rebuild New Orleans makes him a great cat in my book.
