‘The Black List: Vol. 2’ on HBO tonight

Remember last year’s stylish HBO documentary “The Black List: Vol. 1,” from Elvis Mitchell and Timothy Greenfield-Sanders? (I blogged about it here.)

Well, now comes “The Black List: Vol. 2.” It premieres tonight at 8 p.m. (Eastern Time) on HBO.

The new “List” includes Angela Davis, Laurence Fishburne, Tyler Perry, T.D. Jakes, Deval Patrick, Maya Rudolph and Charley Pride. Here’s the trailer:

I think I'm most interested to hear what Charley Pride has to say.

Anybody see it? I don't have HBO at the hotel I'm staying at, believe it or not.

hey, no, since i told you about it i realized that PBS was airing a one-hour special from the night before at the white house at the same time last night, so we watched that.

stevie wonder was given an award and show featured him and other live performers. it was really, really nice. first lady looked especially pretty in an emerald green gown. music was great.

black list should be on demand soon.

I missed the initial telecast, but set the dvr to record it later. I watched about 15 minutes of it this morning.

I enjoyed RZAs segment. He seems curious about the world and introspective. I sensed a bit of wanderlust in him as well. And he's an avid chess player.

I watched it!! Tell me why when TD Jakes' part came on; I kept thinking about his son and his latest scandal. I couldn't focus on what he was saying like ugh!

Maya Rudolph is SO pretty! I also enjoyed RZA & Suzanne De Passe's parts also. It was good!!

Now the HBO doc I've wanted to catch again was the one with the actors narrating about the Emancipation and what they done, ect. I didn't get the first half and haven't seen it running since.
