No pressure, Barack.

You’re only being compared to Lincoln, JFK, Martin Luther King...

And on “Tavis Smiley” last night, Maya Angelou said: “He reminds me of Nelson Mandela.”

at least he's being compared to some people who weren't cut down in their prime.

as someone who volunteered for obama, canvassing and calling, etc., you can fucking believe i am celebrating today.

and i don't care what anyone says about him. good, bad indifferent.

I bet that went down well with Tavis.

Fortunately, a recent poll says a sizable majority of the American people polled not only approve of Obama, the y understand that things won't be fixed overnight and are willing to give him as much as two years to get the turnaround started. We'll see how long that lasts.

Yeah, I really wish folks would stop comparing him to people who got shot doing the job.

Me, I'd like to see him become bullet-and-bomb proof for at LEAST the next eight years. And I really want Obama the Man to survive becoming Obama the Symbol. I have a feeling that such a man ought to stick around a while and enjoy becoming part of history.

Haha... right... no pressure at all. I'm surprised we haven't seen any Matrix "The One" Obama spoofs yet. Or comparisons to Jesus Christ. Maybe I just haven't seen them. Maybe I'll put one together... maybe not...
