Like in this webvid by Meghan McCain, John McCain’s daughter. She pronounces “Palin” both ways.
I hope it gets straightened out before election day.

I thought it was PAY-lin. She said she gave one or two of her many children middle namesof "van" because "Van Palin" sounded like "Van Halen".

My question exactly: Where is Bridget? They brought her out briefly, but then disappeared. I do remember reading that after the smear campaign about her in 2000, they keep her out of the lime light to protect her. Either that or she doesn't fit the image they want to project.
My second question: Don't these kids have school? I'm pretty sure that grandma has the Obama girls in school. Why is Piper, aka Hair Licker, going on tour with them? Shouldn't she be sitting in her second grade classroom? I guess that's why Alaska has the LOWEST high school graduation rates in the country.

I think that it's PAY-lin, but don't worry about it. Whatever the vast majority calls her will stick. There will be little correction. After all most people mispronounce V.P. Dick Cheney's name. It's CHEE-nee, not CHAY-nee. I heard an early correction on the world news when he fist got into office. I just checked Wikipedia, and it also says CHEE-nee in the footnotes. So however we the people pronounce, or mispronounce her name will stick. Oh wait!...Wikipedia says it's pronounced /ˈpeɪlɪn/. Hmmm. We'll see what sticks.
