‘The epiphany of cool’

I was in West L.A. today, meeting someone for lunch at the Grove. And I heard something funny.

Young dude walked past a newsstand, and he pointed and said to his companion: “There you go. That’s the epiphany of cool right there.”

It was a book cover with Frank Sinatra on it.

Young dude, of course, meant to say “epitome.” But what he said is poetry. It is right in its wrongness. I’ll use it in a script one day.

Hey there UBM!

*LOL*

I have had an epiphany of cool many times...

Frank was just sooo suave-bolo! It was rumored that he loooved black women but kept that really under wraps... I knew there was a reason he was buddy-buddy with Sammy!!

Sammy could be sitting with Frank and a black woman and everyone would assume it was Sammy's squeeze!

Hmmmmmph. Some things never change!

P.S. By the way, there is a post on "The Transgender Sista Among Us" that has now taken on a new wind so I need a black man's viewpoint! Feel free to stop by.
