Back in February, I blogged about the poet Jayne Cortez. Now I’m pleased to present a half-hour video of Ms. Cortez in action.
Uploaded by the University of California, this video of a 1994 reading (curated by Quincy Troupe) also includes brief interview snippets.
Unfortunately, it doesn’t include Cortez’s usual backing band, the Firespitters. Oh well.
