Tenor saxophonist Michael Brecker, who passed away last year, had an awesome reputation across musical genres. Bop, fusion, funk, rock ’n’ roll... he played it all.I’ve got a FREE MP3 here that features Mike Brecker blowing his face off. It’s from the digital re-release of a 1980 live album, “Smokin’ in the Pit,” by the fusion supergroup Steps (later known as Steps Ahead). The track is called “Not Ethiopia” (a Brecker composition), and it was recorded in a Tokyo nightclub.
