Open letter to a husband

I was wandering through some different neighborhoods of the black blogosphere yesterday, and I came across something I want to share.

A 30-year-old woman who blogs as Still_Pocahontaz posted an “open letter” to her husband. The subject matter is rather intimate.

But it’s not what she says, it’s how she says it. It’s sort of a pictogram... 25 pictures connected by little bits of text. It’s creative, it’s funny, it’s real, and it gets a point across. Follow this link to check it out.

(Oh... and her husband responds in the comment thread!)

I'm speechless. That was amazing. I'd never have the guts to put myself out there like that. Bravo, Pocahontaz.

^ I think hubby has a sense of humor. (He would have to.)

How much weed does one have to smoke to render oneself sterile?

Dan: I myself wouldn't blog about such business stuff... but as a student of human nature, I love reading those bloggers (mostly women) who share those intimate details. Better than a soap opera.

Isn't this what the Jerry Springer Show is for?

You just know she's not happy with hubby and his "chronic" situation.

^ Imagine how much time and thought she put into gathering up all those image files.

I feel bad for her emotional pain... but, wow, that's some impressive blogging technique!

Amazing to see how some people live and survive and thrive. Not my cup of tea, her style. But hey, it takes all types.

UBM that is so funny. I like the way she painted that picture. The pot was to funny.

^ The pot sure did surprise me, JJ. I had no idea what the problem was until she hit him with that!

I'm surprised more women don't write about this since infertility blogs are legion and this is definitely a contributing factor - slows the swimmers down.

His response was very loving, all things considered. I think a lot of guys would feel like Mr. Fisher if their wife put their personal business out in the world like that.

Women seem to be much more comfortable talking about intimate stuff. I'm AMAZED at where some women go.

^And yet most of us don't know what our own vaginas look like. Tyra even did a whole show on it. Or maybe part of a show. I don't actually watch Tyra.
