A free Santi White download

I swear, all the cool people live in Brooklyn.

Singer-songwriter Santi White – who records under the name “Santogold” for some reason – came out of the punk/new wave scene, with a little reggae influence. She used to be in a band called Stiffed. She sounds like a free spirit.

I found a Santi White song on the Pampelmoose music blog, run by Brit-punk old-timer Dave Allen. To hear “Shove It (Switch remix)” on my Vox blog, click here.

If you want a FREE MP3, click here to commence downloading “Shove It” from Pampelmoose.

Good stuff! I LOVE Santi by herself, when she was with Stiffed and when she wrote songs for Res's album.

When are you going to shout out, Tamar Kali? She lives in Brooklyn too, lol

Tamar-kali does rock, punk, jazz, etc. In other words, she's artistically creative AND talented, lol.

I am straight up a fangirl when it comes to her. She is simply amazing!

NPR pegged her as a punk artist with soul:

She was in the AfroPunk doc too.

That.is.all.
