Yesterday, Calabash made available a track by Kofi Ayivor, a master drummer from Ghana. Ayivor was a member of the Afro-rock band Osibisa during the 1970s. He has recorded with Eddy Grant, Jimmy Cliff and Angelique Kidjo.The free MP3 is “Adzagli (Jungle Funk),” a swinging late-’70s jam. Click here to stream it on my Vox blog.

Issa Bagayogo's "Diamadon" was offered a couple weeks ago. I had previously purchased his "Timbuktu" CD so when I saw the freebie, I couldn't download it fast enough!
