Tuesday 12-inch Flashback: ‘In and Out of Love’

Remember Imagination? I really loved that group’s debut LP, “Body Talk,” from 1981. This track is one of the reasons why.

  4. Can you help me troubleshoot?

I'm barely computer literate, anon. But my readers tend to be very bright and helpful. Maybe one of them can step up and advise.

  5. I sure hope some one will step up to the plate and help me so I can once again look at pics and listen to bites. I've tried everything to no avail. I wanna hear some Imagination - baby! Desparate in Denver

  6. Great choice, UBM. The first three songs from that LP are classic. Still listen to them today.

Can't forget "Just An Illusion," either-another one of my personal favorites.

  8. re; your sidebar--I love JOhnny Hartman! And that really was Sammy Davis Jr introducing him?

  9. I don't remember this song. I have their greatest hits (yeah, the cover's just as wack!) and this cut is on it. I guess I just skipped right over it; not feeling it much.

My absolute favorite song of theirs is the mostly instrumental "Burnin' Up."

  11. ^ Ain't it funny how all those Imagination joints were similar-sounding... yet we're all very particular about our favorite one?

  14. Sammy was KILLING the vibes. He didn't just grow up in show biz, he seems like he mastered everything. Too bad none of these Sammy movies look like they are gonna happen. Fascinating guy.
