Why YouTube is better than television

Reason #6: Huge facial tumors. (WARNING: Might gross you out. Seriously.)

  1. Wait. I'm confused on so many levels. Was this first of how many operations? Why did the doctors let this tumor grow this big? Was this man (woman?) living in a cave before someone found him to bring him in for surgery? Don't you have anything better to do than find this weird stuff? Don't I have anything better to do than watch it.

    Fascinatingly gross.

  4. right, where's the money shot?

my bigger question, david, is how you find these.

do you look for the top viewed? do you search under words like "gross, disgusting, chicks & ukes?"

  5. Kellybelle: You are so compassionate. I have no idea who this guy is, or what he looks like now.

But I'm sure he's grateful to have reduced the risk of smothering in his own flesh.

In olden days, this dude could've gotten mad famous as a sideshow attraction.

Matter fact, YouTube is bringing sideshow back!

maria: The thing about YouTube is, one thing leads to another, and by the time I find something captivating, I tend to forget what led me to it.

    It's all free association.

I've been holding onto this one for a while. This one and the lesbian Bonobo apes making out. It was a toss-up as to which I would post today while in need of a quick something-something at the airport.

(Can't recall how I stumbled on the lesbian Bonobo apes either... except it was probably roundabout the time I found that Laborador retriever humping a teddy bear.)

Yes, they can. I thought I had too much time on my hands.

  9. Am I missing something here? Is YouTube some kind of virtual pariah? Taboo?

All these "you don't have anything better to do," or "too much time on your hands" or "how do you find these" comments are perplexing.

You should visit the site some time. I don't think anyone goes to YouTube searching for "hideous facial tumor surgeries;" well, maybe a few might.

But, if you've ever watched videos on YouTube, you've surely noticed the column on the right of each page, with the heading, "Related Videos." Pay attention to it and you just might find yourself miles away from your original search for "puppies at play."
