Not a happy day for everybody.

Before I went and voted, I had breakfast at a neighborhood spot. As I sat down, two elderly white ladies were talking about the election. I couldn’t tell what they were saying exactly.

But later, when one of these women departed, she said to the other: “Keep your chin up, whatever happens.” And then: “They’re comin’ to get us.” She said it like a sad joke.

Evidently, not everyone is looking forward to the final results.

  1. That old lady must have a real guilty conscience. She must have done or said some foul shit to black people in her lifetime, that's all I can figure.

  4. Well it was sure happy here. I got in line at 7:05 and there were 200 people in front of me, at least 98% of them AfrAm. You know *we* don't like to stand in line...but this was the happiest line full of people I've ever seen. You'd think we were waiting on line to see Jesus. I'd guess at least 75% of folks were first timers. God Bless America

  5. When I got to my polling site this morning I was directed to an express line of sorts. I was back home by 7:15.

  6. Have you seen this misidentified Negro? Fox said he was Barack Obama voting:

  8. The Starbucks near my work was giving out free coffee. I can't vote until after work, so I won't be hitting up any of the freebies, but a co-worker told me it's illegal for them to be offering anyway (guess it's like buying votes or something), and some places have decided not to honor the gifting. With my luck, all those places will be the ones closest to my home anyway. I'm hoping to get something more important in return for my vote, of course--satisfaction! :-)

BTW, my pollning place is at a local Assembly of God church. That's always fun [eye roll].

  9. I saw the opposite of that story this morning. An older gentleman, in his late 50s, was leaving with his wife, (who was dressed like red, white and blue party) after voting - he knew the guy in front of me - and as they hugged he said to Oliver (we got friendly while we waited), "there's finally going to be a black president brother, let's crack open some champagne."

Their joy was palpable and I got a little misty. It made me aware of how long they have been participating in a system that has not truly been totally inclusive.

  10. Fox News wanna be startin' somethin'. They're saying that Black Panthers may be intimidating voters.

  11. Glad the two old bags lived to see this day. I look forward to seeing Buchanan whine and can't imagine how Hannity will hide his rage when Obama wins; I hope to see his head explode.

  12. On a deep visceral level, white folks know they are dying out around the world.

Their women would rather abort than breed.

White folks were 40% of the world population in 1900.

Now they are less than 8%.

And get this: it is their own fault.

They wallow in guilt and shame and know that they are the cause of everything evil in the world. It preys on you, breaks you down.

So even though nobody is genociding them (OK other than Mugabe and the ANC Youth League), they have decided to die out as a race and culture.

Whenever an Obama, a new black milestone, comes along, they hear the bell toll. That's all. The old white ladies are going the way of all the other white people, and they hear the footsteps of white extinction creeping up behind them.

Strange. White folks been around for hundreds of thousands of years, and here they decide to go extinct in less than one hundred.

  13. Cause of everything evil. You are joking. Tell me do you blame all your problems on jews too.

Try reading some history that you don't victobate to. There are a lot more things worst than white people. Like Arabs and other blacks who sold you into slavery to build kingdoms. Aztecs who perform human sacrific. We are no different to anybody else. If you get a chance to build an empire at someone elses expense you do it. Every culture does it. Anyway the tolerance, compassion, non judgement, intelligence and open mindedness etc displayed in the comments throughout this blog don't give me any hope for you lot coming up with any thing better. Glad I don't vote at least I can tell my grand children I had nothing to do with Obama or Georgie.
