It’s all about me today.

Today, I am giving myself the gift of self-promotion.

Below is a 10-minute video from the 2003 “Kingpin” DVD set, with me bloviating about the miniseries.

If you wanna do me a favor, send an email to the fine folks at Hulu (content@hulu.com) and ask them to stream “Kingpin” on their website! That way I could end up with a few duckets in my bucket, nomsayn?

  2. Email sent. Good luck!

Now only if Hulu would "air" outside of the States. BTW, how does it work? Do you have to pay or are there commercials?

  3. ^ Thanks, y'all.

GG: Hulu streams its programming with "limited commercial interruptions."

This is why Hollywood writers went on strike last year. Hulu has become a popular site in the U.S., and this income stream will only keep growing in the future.

  4. Um - I just realized that we're in November and your day is in October. Elizabeth told me it was your birthday last night.

So belated best wishes - 30 days late.

  5. ^ You had it right the first time, quirkychick. I creep ever closer to that open grave which awaits us all.

  8. what i mean is do you get any money if it is streamed or only if people buy the DVD?

  9. ^ No DVD money for me, maria. Like I alluded to, that's one of the reasons the Writers Guild was hot to strike. We have a lousy deal on DVD residuals, so we wanted a better deal for online streaming.

My boy Simon cut himself a good deal on "The Wire" DVDs, however. Better than the Guild standard.

But don't let that stop you from enjoying my fine, fine program!

  10. I demanded from Hulu "Kingpin!"

And I give you my favorite ambiguous greeting card bday wish:

"May you have the birthday you deserve." ;-)

  11. ^ Passive-aggressive greeting cards? Is that the new thing?

    ;^)

  12. A belated happy birthday. Does your Randomonium post mean you had a 7-11 microwave burrito for your birthday dinner? I'm really sorry if it was.

  14. Will do on the Hulu request, if only for my own selfishness: I would love to see all of the episodes of Kingpin, having missed too many of them the first time around.

Happy Birthday. Best wishes for continued health and wisdom!

  15. Happy Belated.

As my partner and I used to tell people when we were selling short stories like the hot dog vendor on the street...."When did hustle become a bad word?"
