These vidclips are from a big charity function tonight in New York City. Sen. McCain got off some good cracks about Bill Clinton (in absentia) and MSNBC. He also poked fun at himself.
And near the end, McCain also said sincere and gracious things about his opponent, Barack Obama.

Hey Undercover, Larry King had Bill Maher on last night and the two of them watched McCain and Obama live give their speeches at that dinner. That was a unique show, 'cause Maher was gave commentaries before and after.
The best part was seeing Obama's wicked sense of humor. Man! He that cross-dressing joke about Rudy Giuliani went for the jugular. I couldn't believe it. And the audience laughed.
Oh, Barack was soo funny. "Contrary to belief, I was not born in a manger..."
It was clear that McCain senses he's finished in this election.

I wonder where this McCain has been during the campaign? Imagine the level of dialog if the country had been treated to the two intelligent men at the Al Smith Dinner, talking and even joking about the plight and future of their country? ...with real discussion about issues? Wow.
Two-Face McCain...
As McCain was busy paying Obama compliments, his campaign was busy "robo-calling" constituents in swing-states, and mailing out racist propaganda material vilifying Obama.
So, since the McCain camp has repeatedly accused Obama of "palling around with terrorists," encouraging his nutty base to call Obama a terrorist, does McCain's presence here make him in anyway guilty of "palling around with terrorists" as well?
Despite the blitheness in the clips, it’ll be back to politics as usual for these 2 gentlemen and their campaigns, today, and on, until Election Day, with McCain attack ads questioning Obama’s patriotism, character, and judgment, inciting fear and hatred, while Obama tries to appear cool and above it all.
It's all a sham...
BTW, did you see Michele Bachmann (R-MN) on Hardball yesterday? Katrina Vanden Heuvel's response was passionate.
