Ah, the Gap Band. I saw them perform after a Dallas Mavericks game a few years ago and they pretty much turned the place out for the first half of their show.
But they really made a left turn when they: a. failed to play "You Dropped a Bomb on Me"; b. dedicated about 15 minutes to cuts off Charlie Wilson's solo album.
It left a bad taste in my mouth. You think Michael Jackson would have a concert and perform "Thriller"?
Gap Band like a muthafucka!
ReplyDeleteYo, check my latest piece on Kwame Kilpatrick on ebonyjet.
I thought this was Natalie Cole's "Party Lights". I don't think I remember this Gap Band song.
ReplyDeleteI also don't remember that Sagat song/video on UBM TV. Only "Funk Dat" comes to mind when I think of him.
Anyways.... Keep diggin' in the crates! :-)
