Bernard “Pretty” Purdie calls himself “the world’s most recorded drummer.” He can be heard on albums by Aretha Franklin, Nina Simone, B.B. King, Steely Dan. That’s barely scratching the surface.
In 1974, Purdie cut a soundtrack album for a porno flick called “Lialeh.” That album has just been digitally reissued by Light in the Attic Records. And a stank funky track called “Hap’nin’ ” is available as a FREE MP3.

You know it's a porn soundtrack when...
ReplyDeleteTrack "tit"les like "All Pink On The Inside".
I've had these tracks for a few years, but am happy that it is available again.
I'm starting a new night this week, that will feature mainly instrumental Funk/Soul/Jazz and this will be in the mix.
^ I'd never heard of this album or this movie.
