Wednesday 45 Flashback: ‘Then He Kissed Me’

When Phil Spector put his “Wall of Sound” behind a New York City girl group called the Crystals, he created some great pop singles. This is one of them.

(Cheers, as always, to thunderbird1958, the YouTube 45 king.)

  1. I can't hear this song without thinking of the opening scene in Adventures in Babysitting.

  2. I too, first heard this song in the 20 year old Elisabeth Shue magnum opus. Funny that the best known faces from that movie these days are Brad Whitford and George Newbern. George Newbern! GEORGE NEWBERN!

  3. Damn I feel highbrow for not being able to hear it and think of the magnificent tracking shot scene thru the bowels of the Copa in GOODFELLAS. Lorraine Bracco was hot as balls too!

  4. Elisabeth Shue is indeed hot as balls. And what's funny is that Clark Johnson plays the gang leader.
