In 1991, soon before I quit paying attention to hip-hop, I got the debut album by Del tha Funkee Homosapien (also known as “Ice Cube’s cousin”). Del was deep into the P-Funk, which made him all right in my book.
Well, Del is still doin’ it. Last week he dropped a track called “Bubble Pop.” Guess what? It’s bouncy!

If you have a MySpace account, you can download a couple more free tracks off Del’s MySpace page. (News alert: Evidently he now spells his stage name “Del The Funkyhomosapien.”)

I've heard some of his older songs on Youtube(like the get out of my house). Definitely got his own unique flow of his own and funny rhymes.
Yep, Elle... I like his sense of humor.
He is definitely a unique one for sure...know him a bit from around the way...
I wonder why he didn't stick with that Guerillas (sp) project?
Ahh Del! Groovy track. He's one of the first rappers I got into, if not the first. Yes, Mr. Bob Dobalina. I've always liked his mix of serious & goofy.
I've saw him at least once in college perform with Heiroglyphics, whom I also dig. They all sounded pretty into video-gaming, which makes them even cooler in my eyes.
Good to hear he's still making noise.
