Coming attraction: Kid Creole & the Coconuts

Okay, I’m a little excited. On Wednesday night, October 3, at the Key Club in Hollywood – it’s Kid Creole & the Coconuts!

Who wants to hook up?

  1. I love that band! Too bad they're not playing my side of the country.

  2. Oh no! What have you done?

    Ha-cha-cha-cha!

    Make it stop!

  3. Now where can I find a tangerine-colored zoot suit?

  4. Don't ever let someone borrow your zoot suit if they're going to a Kid Creole show...it'll pit out before intermission.

Man!, Those fancy free 80's were something else.
BTW here is that Zoot Suit.

  6. When I think "Kid Creole" Dr. Buzzard's Original Savannah Band immediately comes to mind. Not long ago I purchased their greatest hits comp; only then did I remember his Coconuts group.

Shout out to Cory Daye! Gosh, I love "Sunshower."

  7. Sookie Sookie, now! You go on with your Tangerine Zoot Suite, cream 'gator slidin', Ice Berg slim hat wearing self. UBM, you'd be one baaaad cat.

  8. Wow, Kid Creole in Central Park (I think) was the first non-classical concert I can remember going to. I was young, my memory's fuzzy.

  9. Oh man, and I just postponed my vacation - that's right after my birthday... :-(
