Oh snap! I LOVE this ish! And I thought it was just me and my hippy dippy, Sylvester-lovin', SF in the 1970s upbringing! Glad to see I'm not alone on this one....Bless you David, listening to this again has made my evening(well, part of it anway, as my young'uns are snappin at my heels!)
agreed 100%. i used to dance in front of my parents bedroom mirror pretending to be a big sexy diva lipsyncing this...i really didn't know what a big sexy diva really was yet, but i did know she would sing this song, lol
hi david. i'm outing myself as "anonymous" because i've not been able to get the song out of my head for two days. not bad at all, but v. distracting when trying to edit... :)
So many versions of this song. I like the Player's Association take. But my favorite has to be Diana's alternate version issued by Disconet back in the day.

don't even need to listen to the track. "if there's a cure for this...i don't want it..." yummy.
What Anonymous said.
And I like Diana's version better than the Fifth Dimension's.

Damn, as someone with some serious knowledge of funky music, I can't believe I've never heard this track before. It's badass! Nice one UBM.
I do have a recent track that samples it in my collection somewhere, but for the life of me I can't think what it is.

Just heard a Jr. Walker & the All Stars version! I had no idea.
