Memphis soul veteran J. Blackfoot, former lead singer of the Soul Children, is still doing it the old-fashioned way.
He’s got a new album out called “Woof Woof Meow.” Sounds like the kinda stuff they still play on the radio south of Virginia. Click here to hear “Stay Out of My Lane.”
The reissue label LocoBop Digital Media has also released an old J. Blackfoot set co-produced by the late, great Homer Banks. It’s called “Soles of My Shoes,” and I’ve got a funky FREE MP3 for you.

I LOVE the album title!
I am a J Blackfoot fan grew up listening to him in the 80's. I didn't no he had sung lead for the Soul children. By the way "Taxi" was one of my favorites. Oh! the days when music had a message.
^ Hey, jjbrock. It's wild that y'all hear so much music in the South that the rest of us never even know about.
