The secluded housemates on the British version of “Big Brother” just found out – this morning! – that Michael Jackson is dead. Check out their reactions. (Hat-tip: TV Tattle.)
I've been listening to MJ's music almost nonstop since he died.
Same here, well, mostly J5/Jacksons. That stuff never leaves my mp3 player but I've been listening to it constantly for the last couple of weeks.
Then I came across MJ "The Stripped Mixes" at iTunes and amazon.com. They're the J5 classics we've come to love but stripped of lush orchestration and flourishes. Michael's vocals are so clear, so sweet. I'm loving' this compilation. On the downside, Sony put it out on the day of Michael's memorial.
^ Houstongirl, "Big Brother" be serious about sealing up that house. I watched the U.S. version in 2001... and the housemates didn't know about the 9/11 attacks until the producers decided to tell them... days later, if I recall.
Yep. UBM is right about the level of seclusion the contestants face on the show.
The messed up thing about the 2001 season was that one of the cast members, (Monica) had a missing relative at the WTC. The internet went wild over her not being told about what had happened.

Even folks in the most remote parts of the world know this. Okay. Maybe not, but wow.
That made me tear up a little... I was too busy reacting MYSELF to really notice how other people were handling it.
PS - On a late pass moment I'm watching re-watching The Corner. WOW.

Intellectually, you know that everyone who lives will die but his death was shocking.
For that matter, so was the death of Steve McNair.

I duno if I believe that; its 2008 for crying out loud they can't be THAT secluded! WTF?
I think its for ratings.

Cool, Thembi. After that, you should check out a great new singer named Prince.

Wow. They cd've let that tidbit of info slip in.
@bklyn6 Thanks for "The Stripped Mixes" rec.
That's interesting, but I want to know why Wolverine is in the big brother house.
