Here’s a FREE MP3 with a Black History Month twist to it.
Diana Braithwaite and Chris Whiteley are Canadians. She’s a blues singer with a bit of an international reputation; he’s a veteran roots musician who has played with Leon Redbone and John Hammond, Jr.
“Freedom Train” is a track from their 2008 album “Sugar & Gold,” which is subtitled “New Songs from the Underground Railroad.”

Dag,why don't you just come up to Canada already?
We seem to have enough good stuff up here to keep you entertained.
This post,Fathead running in the cube top right...
You can go way east coast and even tie in with where you're at now, with the origins of the Cajun and also the unique Black history of the Maritimes.

Come inland a province or two and visit Toronto and half of the Canadian acts you mention here, drop in for a visit and see some Underground Railroad spots and where Paul Robeson was snuck across to perform.
Get someone else to flip the bill for your "research" trip.
^ This chick already made the sale, Bill.
OMFG!
I have never felt like giving up my citizenship until now.
IN CAN A DUH!
That will haunt me forever.
I'm gonna rock this in the club one of these days.
I also be passing this along to the remixers.
