Rush Limbaugh’s relentless attacks on John McCain did nothing to slow McCain’s roll to the Republican nomination. So I know Rush is irrelevant. But still...
Rush has begun firing a few shots at Barack Obama. Incredibly, he has chosen to demean Barack’s intellect, while at the same time slipping in words like “scary” and “dangerous.”
If you’d like a taste of the coded racial language that’ll soon become more a part of this season, I am streaming a few bites from Limbaugh’s broadcast yesterday. Click here to listen.
UPDATE (02/13/08): Limbaugh is so proud of this sharp-tongued commentary, he put the transcript on his website under the headline “Obama’s Dangerous Ignorance.” He also posted the following image:

damn. and to think i kinda liked Rush.
^ He's just getting warmed up, Wanda.
Not only is Limboob scary and dangerously ignorant, but he's a drug-addicted fool. I can't believe that jerk is still on the air--and worse, that people listen to him and think he's got something worth saying.
Hmmmmm.
*shrug* Where has Obama shown he has any serious knowledge about foreign affairs? What has Obama done to show that he can do the job?
I asked before what people expected from an Obama Presidency but didn't get any answers. Is it all just feel-good kumbaya nonsense?
Obama did threaten to invade Pakistan, (does he not know that Iran also harbors al-qaeda members?)
And Obama does want to negotiate with the Taliban, Iran, Syria, and North Korea.
Will he also invade Syria for harboring known terrorists?
===
And WTH happened to Fisher?
DIFFERENT
LOOPS,
R
Fascinating...
What has Obama done to show that he can do the job?
Well, Memo, he has drawn into his orbit such experienced foreign-policy types as Zbigniew Brzezinski and Susan Rice.
Fisher: Keep eyes and ears open for the words "dangerous" or "danger" linked to Obama. Not just on right-wing talk radio and the conservative blogosphere, but bleeding into cable news as well... and into the campaign rhetoric of his opponents and their surrogates.
I think that's gonna be the play... more so than Rush's "ignorance" nonsense.
At least they're not calling him a "giant negro".
Type in "how tall is Obama" and let the fun begin.
^ At least they're not calling him a "giant negro".
Actually, I think Michelle does. ;^)
Mills, holla at yo boy!
Well, Dave. This electoral race is highly intriguing. I wish I were a Bush administration operative and could willy-nilly eaves-drop (now legally at that since they are all potential U.S citizen enemy combattans) on all the players and their advisors.
Hmmmmm.
"Well, Memo, he has drawn into his orbit such experienced foreign-policy types as Zbigniew Brzezinski and Susan Rice."
And that's a plus??
What foreign policy coups were there when Brzezinski was in the State Dept? None that I can recall.
In fact the only thing that really sticks to my mind about Brzezinski is that he's very pro-Palestinian/Arab and against Israel.
Hmmmm.
@ Michael Fisher
"Well, Dave. This electoral race is highly intriguing. I wish I were a Bush administration operative and could willy-nilly eaves-drop (now legally at that since they are all potential U.S citizen enemy combattans) on all the players and their advisors."
Oh yeah. Like Bill and Hillary Clinton didn't use that against their political enemies along with the **stolen** secret FBI files.
Here's an amusing thing:
The only known real life example of illegal wiretapping was by a Democrat.
Hmmmm.
So how many of you think we shouldn't have armed the mujaheddin in Afghanistan?
Zbigniew Brzezinski
Oh yeah. Impressive.
^ You're missing the big picture, Memo. Zbigniew's endorsement means that Barack Obama now has the Good Housekeeping Seal of Approval from the Trilateral Commission!
Susan Rice is a Trilateralist too... and she's damn near the face of the Obama campaign on cable news.
Barack Obama... choice of the global elites?
I think you were right in your initial comment--Rush is completely and totally irrelevant at this point.
His Ann Coulterish desperation-publicity tactics just underscore it.
^ His Ann Coulterish desperation-publicity tactics just underscore it.
Yeah, IW... he loves nothing more than when the rest of the media talks about him.
His psychological warfare tactics do intrigue me, however... strictly on the level of game. So I'm gonna keep half an ear on him.
Hmmmmm.
1. Trilateral Commission?
lol
2. Also let's not forget who was responsible for the ayatollahs taking over Iran. Jimmah Carter and Brzezinski.
Why? My theory is that they're idiots.
3. Rush Limbaugh?
Frankly I don't listen to him anymore. Used to. But then I realized that most of his show was regurgitating what was already debated fully on blogs and that his 3 hour show, minus the commercials, amounted to about 35 minutes.
Plus I think most conservative pundits have begun to lose their audience due to kowtowing to the establishment Republicans.
Hmmmmm.
@ UBM
"His psychological warfare tactics do intrigue me, however... strictly on the level of game. So I'm gonna keep half an ear on him."
Frankly I think Rush is desperate to get beyond Bush. A lot of conservatives are pretty angry with Rush because he carried a lot of water for Bush and tried to shield him from a lot of justified criticism from conservatives.
I don't think I'll ever forget Rush's endorsement of Bush in 2000:
"He is a lot more conservative than you think he is."
Right. Sure. A-ha.
Which is one reason why he's taken an adverse position against McCain. He's trying to rebuild the cred that he largely destroyed for Bush.
Hmmmmm.
@ UBM

Anybody else? I assumed it would work like any other video embed.
The page actually loaded faster for a change with the DiVx file, but the constant reminder to download it (or whatever ActiveX control was needed) slowed things down. For me, at least.

“And I won't hesitate to use the power of American diplomacy to stop countries from obtaining these weapons or sponsoring terror. The lesson of the Bush years is that not talking does not work. Go down the list of countries we've ignored and see how successful that strategy has been. We haven't talked to Iran, and they continue to build their nuclear program. We haven't talked to Syria, and they continue support for terror. We tried not talking to North Korea, and they now have enough material for 6 to 8 more nuclear weapons.”
Uh Barack...There was a time before George W Bush. Eight years of Bill Clinton talking the ears off of each and every nation on your short little list. During the Clinton regime, Iran began its nuclear weapon project and that project had its largest growth during the Clinton regime. The same is true for the North Korean nuke project, its largest and fastest growth rate happened between 1992 and 2001. (In fairness, both North Korea’s and Iran’s nuke projects got their start from the AQ Khan Affair, which actually began during the George HW Bush presidency.)
“We” haven’t talked to Syria because we already know that it doesn’t matter how many words are spoken, the Assad family’s government of Syria will continue to support terrorism because it has said so, repeatedly, and because the Assad family are themselves terrorists. But those little factoids seem to have escaped many of your fellow Democrat Party members, who have rushed off to Syria numerous times over the last eight years, to talk with the Assad family’s government of Syria, only to have Syria directly linked to yet another terrorist act within days of those meetings. Iran sent Ahmadinnerjacket here to talk to “us” and the only thing anybody heard him say of note was that there are no gay people in Iran, only to have the Iranian state press gleefully note the execution of yet another gay person within weeks of his visit.
You might consider asking Zbignew Brazinski about how that talking to Iran thing works out after all, he talked to them for 444 straight days.
Barack, if you have something to say to those three nations that does not include the term “Unconditional Surrender” to the exclusion of all else, then you have no business seeking the presidency of the United States.

"^ Awwww shit now..."
Awwww shit now, nutin. Obama's campaign is run by plenty of Jews. American Jews. And run very well, I must say.
Thus American Jews being American apparently feel quite confident that Obama is qualified for the Presidency.
Noting that Fisher refused to address a single issue that I mentioned in my last post…
http://www.forward.com/articles/12581/
I suppose I could respond in kind by asking Fisher if he’s Tanzanian or Angolan, Hutu or Tutsi. But that too would not be addressing the issues I’ve raised here.
The “change” that Obama is currently calling for isn’t really a change. It’s a call for a return to the exact same Carter/Clinton policies that led us to 9/11 in the first place, complete with the same group of advisors who screwed the pooch so badly last time around. The Assad family, the Mullahs of Iran, and Lil Kim are not the slightest bit interested in dialoging for peace. “Talking” to the Iranians or North Koreans isn’t going to stop them from pursuing nuclear weapons we know this because eight years of Blowjob Billy talking to them didn’t even slow them down. “Talking” to the Syrians or Iranians isn’t going to stop them from supporting international terrorism we know this because they’ve said so, repeatedly. The term they use is “Hudna.” None of this is “news,” its history all of these issues go back to the middle of the last century. And all of it ignores the cold hard fact that the Iraq and Afghanistan campaigns of this war are all but over, already won, by American troops, of all races, religions, and creeds. If it’s working, why fix it?
In the meantime, “talking” to or otherwise negotiating with any of those nations by unauthorized persons is a violation of the Logan Act. In the case of Iran, who openly declared war on the US in 1980, it may very well be an act of treason.
[Noting that just days after top Obama advisor Z. Bzezinski was “talking” to Assad, one of the world’s most notorious international terrorists, Imad Mugniyah, was killed by a car bomb in Damascus, where he had been living with Syrian state knowledge and protection.]

As an American Jew, I have a legitimate concern with the well-being and survival of Israel. This is a personal bias that I freely admit too. I also recognize that American Blacks can, (and should), have a legitimate concern for the well-being and survival of the many Black African nations this is also a bias I can freely accept and understand.
Of course there are Jews involved in all levels of the Obama campaign. There are Jews involved in all of the current presidential campaigns, including some Jews, (Blacks and other minorities as well), who were foolish enough to buy into Ron Paul’s badly camouflaged neo-nazi/KKK koolaid.
They don’t speak for me anymore than Colin Powell, Walter E Williams, or Condi Rice speaks for one Michael Fisher.

Ok. render. You wanna go to the mat?
Fine. Let's start with a few definitions. Assuming that you are really a Jew, tell us:
What is a Jew?
No Fisher.
Answer the points I've already made concerning Obamas campaign rhetoric.
After you do that, I might entertain the mildly bemusing idea of answering your somewhat irrelevent questions.
TOO
PREDICTIBLE,
R
Well Render, since I honestly have no friggin' idea what a Jew is, but only see that various white folks proclaim that they are Jews even though they say they either are not practicing the religion of Judaism, that is, are practicing Jews or even atheists, and since there are white folks running around in special garb who apparently say they are Jews but other white folks who don't wear that stuff are not, I can't say nothing about a state that apparently defines itself as a Jewish state, but is it?
What I do know is this: I oppose the System of Racism/White Supremacy because I think we ought to replace it with a system of Justice. I also know that logically there will be no such thing as a "black race" or a "black nation" once that System of Racism/White Supremacy is replaced and we finally all can go about our business being humans.
Ergo, I oppose all manifestations of White Supremacy, be it in the form of white supremacy that is "Arab" , or white supremacy that is "Israeli", or white supremacy that is "Iranian" (which is the Farsi term. The actual English term is Aryan which should give you a hint on which side of the white supremacy divide the Iranians/Aryans see themselves) or in the form of a possible white supremacy that calls itself "Israeli".
So, you show me what a Jew is and what an Israeli is, whether they are victims of the System of Racism/White Supremacy or perpetrators of it, and I can tell you whether Israel...,
an organized, possibly white supremacist entity (I'll reserve my judgment to that effect until you explain to me where this Israel stands in that system) that has plenty of nukes in the ready as opposed to the organized white supremacist entities called "Syria" or "Iran/Aryan" that apparently don't (yet) have nukes,
...deserves my support or the support of the people of the organized entity called United States of America.

Personally Michael, I think you're full of crap and the above links aren't anything new to you.
You know as well as I do that Judaism isn't a race, it's a religion, of all races.

No answer on the white supremacy thing. Oh well.
"You know as well as I do that Judaism isn't a race, it's a religion, of all races."
So Israel, being a Jewish, and thus a religious, state is kinda like Vatican City?
Are you telling me that in supporting Israel we are supporting an oversized place of worship? Kinda like an oversized St. Peter's Basilica?
Like the Catholic Church, only with nukes?
Does that make Moshe Katsav the Jewish Pope?
Do you think that we should support the efforts of certain people to define the United States as a Christian country? - Like the Catholic Church, only with a whole lot more nukes?
Would that be a fair thing to do to people like you who are of the Jewish religion? Would it be "democratic"?
Given that our foreign policy is supposed to be based on supporting and extending democracy, is the support of a country that is based on a religion, that is, that is basically an oversized Cathedral, and which is the religion of only one sector of the humans inhabiting it to boot...
Is the support of such a religious institution in line with our foreign policy principle of "supporting democracy"?
So how is a religious state on the shores of the Mediterranean different "democracy-wise" from a religious state on the shores of the the Persian Gulf?
Do you know what happened last time Europe got involved in a religious war? One third of the entire population was wiped out.
Fisher – “No answer on the white supremacy thing. Oh well.”
R – I would have thought the presence, the mere existence of the Ethiopian Jews would lay that particular canard to rest, after all, its not as if they haven’t been mentioned around here before.
R - "You know as well as I do that Judaism isn't a race, it's a religion, of all races."
Fisher – “So Israel, being a Jewish, and thus a religious, state is kinda like Vatican City?”
R – uh, no. Although there is much to be made for the point that Jerusalem should probably be an open city-state along the Vatican lines, (perhaps with adherence to all three major religions that lay a claim, however erroneously, to it). Israel, as a Jewish state, is a national homeland, a safe haven from the never ending pogroms and attempted genocides of Jewish people the world over. As it turns out, that safe haven isn’t so safe after all, but at least the Jews now have a place where they are allowed defend themselves, and have the ability to do so.
Fisher – “Are you telling me that in supporting Israel we are supporting an oversized place of worship? Kinda like an oversized St. Peter's Basilica?”
R – We do support Rome and the Church of England, you know.
Fisher – “Like the Catholic Church, only with nukes?”
R – How do you know the Catholic Church doesn’t have nukes?
Fisher – “Does that make Moshe Katsav the Jewish Pope?”
R – Heh, he could only wish. No, it makes him an out of work Israeli polition of Iranian birth. Shimon Peres is the current Israeli president, a largely ceremonial position when compared to the Prime Ministers office, currently occupied by Ehud Olmert the Uncommitted. Do try and keep up.
Fisher - Do you think that we should support the efforts of certain people to define the United States as a Christian country? - Like the Catholic Church, only with a whole lot more nukes?
R – No, but I don’t have any problem recognizing that this is a majority Christian nation, founded by White Christian men whose ideas of freedom and democracy transcended the era of slavery that they themselves lived in and profited from. Were it not for those very men and their ideas, you and I would probably not be here discussing any of this. Would we?
Fisher – “Would that be a fair thing to do to people like you who are of the Jewish religion? Would it be "democratic"?”
R- Democracy is not about the wolves and sheep voting on who’s for dinner. But you’ve heard that before, haven’t you?
Fisher – “Given that our foreign policy is supposed to be based on supporting and extending democracy, is the support of a country that is based on a religion, that is, that is basically an oversized Cathedral, and which is the religion of only one sector of the humans inhabiting it to boot...”
R – You do understand that Israel is by far the most “democratic” state in the Middle East, right? You do know that Arabs, Muslims, Bedouins, Druse, and Christians who are citizens of Israel all have political representation within the Israeli form of government? And that all have the same rights as any Jewish citizen? You do know that all of those minorities are eligible for military service? That an Arab Muslim sits on Israel’s Supreme Court? I know you do Fisher, and it’s somewhat weak of you to pretend otherwise.
Fisher – “Is the support of such a religious institution in line with our foreign policy principle of "supporting democracy"?”
R – Well gee, it’s not as if we’re supporting Whabbi Sharia law, now is it (yet)?
Fisher – “So how is a religious state on the shores of the Mediterranean different "democracy-wise" from a religious state on the shores of the the Persian Gulf?”
R – For starters Jews are not allowed to travel to Saudi Arabia and an Israeli stamp on ones passport is often enough for the House of Saud’s religious police to deny entry. The Saudis also prohibit crosses, bibles, or any other manifestation of religion other than Islam. Iran still has a small and somewhat captive Jewish population whose movements and employment opportunities are severely limited. With very rare exceptions Iranian Jews are not allowed to serve in the military or hold political office, they cannot be employed in the legal, financial, educational, or media fields. Religious Thought police roam the streets of most Muslim majority nations. Can you spell apartheid? I know you can. Do you see any of that in Israel? I didn’t think so.
Fisher – “Do you know what happened last time Europe got involved in a religious war? One third of the entire population was wiped out.”
R – Lemme guess, you’re claiming that WW2 was a “religious” war? As I’ve stated previously here, the long agonizing foreplay that preceded that last great genocidal event would have much to do with why I’m an American. Europe itself is another whole kettle of fish getting ready to boil over, or quietly simmer away. That’s a whole other subject. Either way…
R – There are only 13 million of us left Fisher. Is it too much to ask the rest of the world to stop killing us? You will understand if we defend ourselves, right?
R – And still - Will Obama find a way to stop 4,000 Kasaam rockets a year? Talking won’t do it.
