What is it with the Japanese and robots?
Toyota last week showed off a 5-foot-tall robot that can play the violin. (Just not very well.)
Could this be the beginning of the end of the human race?

Nahhhh... They'll just replace a few human violinists. :P
Now, just wait until the Singularity!

This sounds like a job for Bob Larson.
You know, for all its deficiencies, it's got pretty good vibrato.
IT MUST BE DESTROYED!!
Seriously, Honda also unveiled a pair of humanoid robots recently that work in tandem serving drinks... link's not handy...
It seems the Japanese have made a national cognitive/industrial committment to devoloping humanoid robots, in part to serve household functions, so they say.
I mean, they'd rather go through all that effort and expense than let in a million Filipino immigrants.
Different strokes for different folks, I guess...
